Au Sommet du Lac Magog

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was clean and comfortable. We ate in the bistro. The food and service were excellent. The location is ideal - golf, winery, close to old Magog.

I gave two stars for three reason 1-Room like an oven we couldn’t sleep we had to open the room door to have some cold air, 2- the food smell from the restaurant under the room was horrible and the ice machine it’s like a home mini machine you have to go get water fill it up than wait tell the ice is made 3-no one answer you if anything need it they don’t answer the text no one down on desk , it was a horrible night for us , maybe if we try the place when it’s a bit less heat or hot weather , will get back to you later

Super cute and very clean place . We got the room with the double bed and sofa bed and it was good. We were not expecting much as we had lots of activities planned during our stay. Is not a place to stay ,if you plan to stay in your room the whole time . Rooms are small, bed was really comfy . Staff was amazing, very friendly and kind. Something I did not like is that you cannot control the temperature of your room, so most of the time I was freezing, I recommended bringing an extra blanket if you get cold easily . We also wanted to try their breakfast boxes that they offer and we were given something frozen in aluminum to heat up in the microwave, we were told it was fine that they already did the test . After 2min of that thing in the microwave it started to smell weird, it was an obnoxious smell . We decided to stopped it and just return it , as the crepe was still frozen . Did not seem so safe for us, so we just returned and the staff was very understanding. I feel that everything is still pretty new, so many things may change in the future. I never got asked for ID or the person who was with me when getting my room, I mean very trusting for them but it seems kind of weird of not checking . Also the rooms don’t have a deadbolt, or a not disturb sign to put at the door. I feel like it should be important for safety, and for the staff to know if someone is there or not. When we were in our room watching tv one of the staff walked in after knocking once. She was more scared than we were, but I feel it was something could’ve been avoided. Also yes the train passes around 2am, and you hear the honk, but I feel this is just something out of their control and it’s not that bad. Just something to have in mind. The place is still pretty new and I’m sure they are working slowly on getting it better . Even with all those small things, I really enjoyed my stay, and I found it super quiet/relaxing and beautiful place to stay .

Just wished there was a little table in the room. There was enough space it would be very practical.

Excellent experience! The manager went above and beyond to accommodate us when the bistro was closed for a private event. Had an absolutely delicious raclette in our room and she even checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything.Room was cozy and intimate, the views from outside are gorgeous. Would definitely stay again!

The building is very nice but basic and a little neglected. The outdoor area is not taking care of, the rooms are more than simple, with no lamps, no lights in the bathroom mirrow and no place where to put your laggage. Literally NO PLACE. the lighbulbs are half off, and you don't have control over the temperture of the room since is locked ...UNACCEPTABLE! Breakfast was prety disappointing too...just a box left in your refrigerator the day before with an apple, a yogurt, a dry muffin and a juice. Honestly I wouldn't go back. The nicest was the view of the lake from outside the building, but i didn't find it worthy.

This is more or less a self-serve facility!!! While I realize that people of Quebec are very proud of their heritage, they should at least consider their international visitors. We arrived at 11pm and we couldn’t figure out where our room was. In fact, the units have a completely separate entrance. We had to guess our way around to find our room. All the printed material was in French

Great value for the price. Everything was clean and accommodating. Bed was comfortable aside from the fact the bottom sheet kept slipping off. Bathroom was clean but the shower stayed very wet as there was no fan in the bathroom. Could not find information about check-out time anywhere, but check-in was very clear and easy. The bistro where breakfast was served was gorgeous, as was the view from the restaurant patio. The included breakfast was good for a continental style breakfast. I would stay here again and recommend it to others!

We visited during spring 2022 and it was one of the best stays we have ever been to. The privacy, scenary, facilities, location it's just perfect. I would love to visit again.
