Algonquin East Gate Motel
Amazing rooms and location! Very friendly staff!We stayed in Room #3 and the room was really cozy and very clean. Amazing shower too. I would 100000% stay here again and I am highly recommending this motel to everyone I can.

Reasonably priced, and very accommodating to a late night arrival. Our room had all the comforts we needed and was in walking distance of three food spots.

Algonquin East Gate Motel
The motels close location to the park was so nice however this room was not clean as advertised. We found wrappers left in the shower and under the bed from previous guests. The walls were also very thin we heard every car door closing and even footsteps. We will not be back.

Lovely woman at check in, offered a coffee maker or kettle, clearly wanted happy customers. Less than a minute book in time after reserving online. Nice, cozy and clean room.

Algonquin East Gate Motel
A friendly place and great location to explore the park. Still we were disappointed with the cabin. It was great for the location and super quite. It was small but that 's OK. We struggled though with the condition it was in. It is worn out and literally full of cracks so you can't keep the mosquitos out and they are plentiful. The place is just too old (you see it already at the outside.) Beds are small. The chairs placed in the cabin are so dirty - no one should place those in any accommodation used to host guests. The grill outside still had meat on it and had not been cleaned in ages. We did not feel comfortable at all staying here. Luckily we were only there a few hours as we went wildlife spotting in the evening and the morning. As such it is not a bad place, it just urgently needs some care - a few hours of work might be enough - to make it acceptable and value for money.

Algonquin East Gate Motel
The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and mostly comfortable. We stayed in room #8, the only thing we didn't like was there really was no where to sit other than on the bed. That really is my only negative. Everything else was perfect,clean rooms, fridge, freezer and microwave. Rooms were warm. Lakeway and parking lot plowed with all the snow. It was quiet, no noise from other rented units. TV worked great also for some downtime at night. Close to Algonquin. Dog friendly which was really nice. Thank you

Algonquin East Gate Motel
What a great way to begin our stay friendly staff and a great feeling from the start. I had a problem with my tv and before i finished speaking to the front desk, They had someone on the way to show us what went wrong. Our room was clean quiet and modern. I hope i am back here soon.

The woman and gentlemen were very kind, we stayed in one of the new renovated room and it passed all my expectations. Great spot, only 3min drive from the Algonquin East Gate Park! It was very clean and cozy. Highly recommended!

Algonquin East Gate Motel
Staff was great. Room was cleaner than most motels of this type. But for the price, the room was lacking basic amenities. No microwave, no coffee maker, tiny fridge. Not even a clock or box of Kleenex. $99 per night would have been more appropriate.

Algonquin East Gate Motel
I am giving the Algonquin East Gate Motel 5 stars, not because it's a 5 star hotel/motel but because it's exactly as advertised and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I see some reviews saying the rooms are dated etc. Our room was very clean, albeit a bit old, but their website clearly and accurately shows photos of each and every room - so you know before you book what you are getting into! I gave 5 stars because I wasn't expecting much from the photos, but as I said it was very clean, cleaner than I expected! Definitely worth the price (especially being so close to the East Gate of Algonquin Provincial Park). We checked in very late due to a lot of traffic and they were very helpful on the phone to tell us how to check in even after staff at the office had left for the night. They even leave their personal phone number if you have any issues which I thought was great. I also saw a staff member immediately go to clean our room after we left, so I expect this is the case for all rooms upon checkout there. If you're looking for 5 star accommodations, meals, spas, the whole deal... this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, and friendly place to stay as close to Algonquin park as you can get, this is the place! We will definitely be returning the next time we come out that way.
