I really enjoyed this throwback family restaurant. It's like going back in time. The food was such good quality and tasty. The sauce is strangely good. I'm not sure if I like it or not, lol. I just kept dipping and wondering. My wife had the crispy wrap and said it was the best she'd even had. I had the 1/4 chicken with slaw. We had no room for the famous pies! I would recommend this place and will go back again when I'm in the area.

Feels like 50s diner love how everything is so antiquee best part is damn ribs that melts right in your mouth that sauce they use does wonder in your mouth. Thanks for a great experience. If you want to WOW your palette this is the place… Glad I found you guys! Definitely a great idea to go right before a nice long road trip.

Fresh food fast! Good sizes portions. Ribs were tender and fell off the bone. Fries were hot, fresh, and crispy. The coconut cream pie was very good!

The place was in the show You Gotta Eat Here" in Food Network featuring "long established eateries all over Canada". My friends and I were in the area and decided to have lunch here. Stopped by on my way back from Lake Simcoe having read great reviews about their pie and chicken. They are all true. A very welcoming team, the booths were sparkling, plenty of parking spaces and their chicken... Ooh their chicken.... It melts in your mouth. I tried their white quarter chicken with special house sauce, it tasted great even after carrying it to Toronto.

Had to try it since every time we ride by we do see people in and out so seems to be the local Hotspot for Port Perry grounds.Today we decided to take a ride out and give it a try so we jumped on out bikes and headed out.Well it wasn't what we expected or set our level of expectations to be, sorry I'm not gonna sugar coat anything.Food was very bland, was what is was with little to no flavor. So if you want your chicken to be chicken with no seasoning then this is the place. The sides are limited so we took fries. They are ok but also very straight forward bland, the two option of side sauce was not very good and not whatbwe expected from a place that has been featured on tv food shows, that was the one dish. As for the crispy chicken wrap dish. That was also very tasteless and mush. Just no flavors hitting the pallet wanting me to come in for more bites. It was lacking major flavor punch and they had no alternative dipping sauces or something to add flavor. Again fries was the side.The server was pleasant, the atmosphere was outdated and looked old, dark and could use a brighter fresher look which would also be recommended for their food.We hate Swiss Chalet but if we had to pick between the two, sorry Swiss would be the better choice..Don't think we'll go back again and this is not a review to leave any pain but we are honest and rate the scores fair..Price for food and service provided was not worth it and left us well, disappointed!

Pro:It's real food in an area with a scarcity of restaurant options.Food quality is good.Milk shakes were good, old school flavour with real ice cream.Service was polite and fast.Con:Portions are quite small compared to what you are paying for. It's basically overpriced Swiss Chalet. Not sure why it was promoted on the You Gotta Eat Here tv show as it really wasn't anything special.Note: the original BBQ sauce is basically like a marinara sauce.Yes, I would return to try some of their other meals but I wouldn't make a day trip to come here to do so if you're a foodie. Only if I'm passing through the area.

The sweetest waitress, Heather, served us. We were a family of three ordering with many questions and she was delightful. I loved my quarter chicken dinner with fries and a dinner bun. My husband and daughter ordered ribs (and chicken too). Had leftovers today. Still yummy.Stop driving by and saying we should go there" and make a point of going there - IT'S SO GOOD! Great prices

Last minute food choice that turned out to be amazing. The ribs are just so tender and a perfect balance between tasting the meat and the barbecue sauce. The coleslaw honestly was one of the best I have had. It is creamy and full of flavour. It took around 10 minutes for the food to be ready. 10/10 would recommend.
