I would have to say that my case worker, Daisy Shim is simply an extraordinary person. Daisy really assisted me from day one, and never stopped. Daisy is so kind and helpful, she was able to get me a voucher for Marks Work Warehouse so that I could get the proper safety gear for my Class 1 training course after I told her about my EI situation. Daisy has even mentioned numerous times the wage subsidy offered to also assist with future employment. All I have to say is that Daisy Shim is an Amazing person who never stops helping and assisting through your time with your course or program. I would like to thank Daisy personally. Daisy, thank you very much for all of your help and support! You are truly an Amazing person with a huge heart! Whoever gets Daisy Shim as a case worker you will soon realize what I am talking about!Yours truly,Richard Kerr

I have been using the services of Work BC for years to guide me to the perfect employment. I will be eternally grateful to Daisy Shim at Work BCs Port Moody location. She offered excellent service, care and compassion to help me get back to school to train for new employment. I was in a hard place when I asked for help and Work BCs compassion, commitment and hard work helped me get back on my feet. They offer a plethora of options, work shops and even counselling to help you find your path. If you need assistance, I highly recommend this service. If you put the work in, they will meet you half way!

I am giving Work BC no stars. My son is 25 years-old, is high-functioning autistic and has been going to this office since he was 17 or 18. There have been 2 contractors in this time and both are useless. The office determined almost immediately that my son would benefit from something called targeted employment. This never happened so the YWCA took over the contract and determined my son should be evaluated as an adult, this evaluation happened 2 years ago and determined that he would benefit from this targeted employment program. Each time I call and complain to the office people call with all types of promises but nothing happens. I now have a 25 year-old son who feels hopeless and has no direction. We were told several months ago to fill out a form for targeted work after I complained again and we have waited for at least 6 months for someone to call. I have more complaints but wanted to tell you all not to bother.

I had a great experience with WorkBC Port Moody. One of my friends who has got a job after consulting with WorkBC recommended me to go there. They are very kind and helpful while I am being serviced. Especially my case manager, Daisy Shim, is so amazing. She guided and helped me a lot providing with various resources when I'd like to change my career. Also Daisy was very considerate of me to find a solution as she became to know my situation and encouraged me to keep going on my way. Thanks to her, I can get a a training program to start a new career with financial support. This is a great opportunity for me and I really appreciate Daisy and other staff in WorkBC Port Moody.
