Once Upon A Child Kelowna

Im so disappointed with the kelowna store.I went to go and sell" my baby items for them to unmatch my sets i had. Eg; shirt and short set and they take the shirt leaving me only with the shorts that are mint condition. Also purchasing 8 items for it to cost me $50 for USED!!! At that rate its cheaper to buy new. Dont waste your money here! So disappointed. Only reason im giving a 3 star is for the gentleman that was so kind to help me with bringing in my boxes"

Great place to buy used kids clothing. Usually my first stop in Kelowna when in need of something.Would recommend shopping their sales, as you can get great deals (5/15$ sleepwear anyone?), but even regular prices aren't too bad. Sometimes you'll find items of questionable quality with stains/pilling, etc., but you can also find things that look brand new.Staff are friendly, and store is well organized by size. Best selection is for 1 year and under, but still a decent selection for older toddler/kids too.Selling your items has its advantages over other consignment stores, as you get your money right away, but you can be paid fairly little for what you sell to them. Another pro is they also take books and toys, not just clothes.

So so. I enjoy purchasing products here as they have amazing deals, so it’s an excellent place to get some clothes or products for your kiddo on a budget. However, staff can be short with you and not super friendly at times. I also understand that they are very picky about what they accept to buy from you as they go by not only condition but also demand and time of year (a kid isn’t gonna wear shorts in December) but it’s very hard trying to sell a decent amount of things there.

I have made an attempt to support this small business twice dropping off clothing items. First time I thought I would give them another chance. Maybe it was an off day.The staff were extremely blunt and rude. The expectations of people to wait around all day and come back same day to pick up their order is not very family friendly practice for children’s clothing.It would be lovely if any products dropped off could be picked up the next business day before 11:00.I will not be shopping or dropping off clothing here unless I hear about some drastic changes to their policies and their customer service.They definitely do not go in order on when things arrive as boxes placed below on their paper list were crossed off before others.I have supported other Once Upon a Child stores in other cities with much better service. It is too bad the only okanagan location cannot have a better reputation.

Once Upon A Child is my first stop for recycling my daughter's outgrown clothes and other items she no longer uses. We drop off here first to get some quick money. Any items that don't qualify for Once Upon A Child to buy we then take to the next stop to be donated.

This is a great store. There was such a variety of clothes that our kids absolutely love. There are lots of toys for cheap too! Like LOL dolls or transformers or paw patrol.

As a first time mom the staff here are supremely supportive and helped me with all my questions, supporting second hand items is super important with anyone that has a smaller budget!

Lots of great sales and a good selection of clothes in all sizes. Staff are excellent. You gotta inspect the clothes though. I've often walked out with items that were stained or damaged. Didn't notice until after I'd washed them. You can exchange them though for undamaged items. I never bothered as it was a hassle to go back, so, just thoroughly look over what you want to buy. I also often find items that haven't even been worn. It's worth digging around and visiting often.

Only ever bought here, never brought items to trade. The store is always so packed with items with extra rolling racks between the actual racks, it makes it very difficult to shop. I can't even bring my stroller in since the store is laid out in such a way that we can't go around corners or go through half of the aisles due to the extra racks. They also don't usually have much in the sizes I'm looking for and for some reason have infant clothes separated by gender, making it even harder to find anything.Definitely not as organized or tidy as a lot of other OUaC's, and certainly harder to navigate. I can't even bring my kids in so I'll never be able to shop without my partner driving and waiting in the car. Such a shame.Other than that, there are a few things that are way overpriced, but its pretty similar to most other OUaC's.
