Brimka Haus German Shepherds

When we purchased our dog Grizzly from Laura we were able to view the welping box, review the food and the space its prepared in, and meet all the parents. we spent a lot of time reviewing the info related to our new dog.

This is a very long review but anyone who is looking for a GSD pup should read the entire review. .In January 2017 my 12 year old GSD died, he was my 4th GSD I owned as an adult. I was very lucky to have grown up in a house with GSD's, Labs, Rottweilers and a Brussels Griffon that lived until she was 19! As I started my search for a GSD puppy I found many ads from breeders for puppies with a wide range of prices. Being a long time GSD owner I had very high standards for the breeder I purchased my puppy from. The number one thing I was looking for was: a small knowledgeable breeder who had one or two females and the dogs were part of the family. They lived in the house, not in a kennel, barn, garage, basement. Along with living in the house, the breeder had to find homes for their older females and not dump the girls at the humane society or euthanize them after they were no longer useful for breeding. Second on my list of high standards: quality dogs with excellent pedigrees, documented health records, OFA hip certifications. A breeder who only bred healthy dogs. Third on my list: a breeder who had requirements for their puppy buyers, in other words: I was looking for a breeder who cared about who purchased their puppies not just about making money. I found this breeder: Brimka Haus German Shepherds!!!! I first made contact with Laura in Jan 2017, she had a liter of pups, all spoken for but she invited me to come to her home and meet her, her family both the mother and father of the liter in the living room of her family home. I had to have clean clothes, sanitize my hands, take off my shoes all before I could meet the pups/dogs. This extra precaution was just one more thing that put Brimka Haus on the top of my list for breeders. After about an hour of talking, Laura interviewing me and vice versa, and meeting her dogs and family I knew Brimka Haus was where I was going to purchase my puppy. At the time she had a legend of a sire, Walko vom Baruther Land, a German import male with the temperament of a Labrador, a lengthy top quality pedigree and show titles and two excellent females. Lucky for me, she was hoping to have another liter due in April 2017. After a couple of days of thinking, I put a deposit for a male puppy from her next liter, Finn vom Brimka Haus. Unfortunately I had to delay picking up Finn for a week after he was ready to come to his new home, Laura was more than happy to keep him for an extra week. Finn is now 6, he is a rock star!!! He has the temperament of his sire, the good looks of both his parents, he's social, I can take him anywhere, he's good with all people and other dogs and l'm so lucky to have found Laura and Brimka Haus and her breeding program. I challenge anyone to find a breeder who puts more time, knowledge and care into their pups and dogs. Brimka Haus is the whole package: knowledge, excellent nutrition and health/vaccination programs, cares about the pups/dogs, handles the pups everyday, exposes the pups to vacuum cleaners, lawnmowers, car rides and has top quality dogs. Yes you can find cheaper puts but you will not find a better pup than the one you purchase from Brimka Haus. In March of 2021, I adopted Egga, one of Laura's girls that was retired. Finn is the dog in front, Egga is behind him.

I purchased a female GSD pup from this breeder 7 years ago, and our experience was nothing but positive. This Shepherd was our third, but our first from Brimka Haus. The pups are raised in-home, and our pup spent her first 10 weeks with small children, which was a huge plus as we have 10 grandchildren. She is incredibly gentle and loves children and people. However, she is also an amazing watchdog, and guards our home and occupants with a sharp eye. We did not get the one-on-one with the breeder on our first two Shepherds as we did with Brimka Haus. I loved that these pups were so loved by the breeder, well taken care of and exposed to so much of the outside world at a very young age. Makes for a calm, secure, self-assured dog. As a GSD should be. I would recommend this breeder as they are in the business because it is their passion, and that’s what you should look for. And lastly, she is a gorgeous plush coat and we constantly get compliments on her looks.

Warning! Do NOT buy from this hobby" breeder. Puppy suffered $1000 in vet bills a few weeks after bringing home and following the contract. Do NOT sign the contract if you are stupid enough to buy from this person who is not knowledgeable about breeding a puppy. They are cute as hell but you will suffer and pay.
