It was my first time here with a party of 5. I enjoyed the smaller space as it's a little more cosy and feels more lively with other customers. We were immediately greeted by the owner who offered great conversation and excellent service. We received samples of the red pepper and tomato soup and we were sold. The soup and pork panini combo was fantastic. If you prefer something else, the owner can offer some great suggestions. The owner is more than happy to cater to allergies or other dietary restrictions. The coffee was great and I felt like I received great value. I will be sure to return here again.

Went after seeing all the nice reviews and was not disappointed one bit. Was recommended their popular “Tomato Red Pepper Soup” which was fantastic and paired perfectly with the panini. Great meal to start the day! The owner was so kind and friendly. Will try out their baked goods next time.

We had learned from a Facebook group that Java Garden, among other things, served Danish Smørrebrød (Danish style open sandwiches with lots of toppings). Being Danish, we had to try.We were told next time to book ahead so they would have more options and be sure to have the right ingredients available. Still, they made us two different types of Smørrebrød fresh as we waited with all the toppings expected with Danish Smørrebrød. It was really, really good and very authentic. We had frikadelle sandwich and egg and scrimp sandwich. And rum balls. We spoke with the owner and learned a bit about his history and that of the café. We enjoyed our visit very much. We will definitely come back!Just editing to say that we have been back: this time we ordered the sandwiches ahead and it was equally as delicious, if not more and very authentic Danish!

I ordered the gluten free tomato mozzarella spinach panini and I LOVE IT! its so yum and I love how they have gluten free options. I’ve gotten their watermelon smoothie and super fruit all star smoothie, both which are very nice. It is a little on the sweet side but a nice kind of sweet. The owner is also super sweet. I love walking to this cafe on my daily walks plus their prices are really affordable too.

Do you like amazing food? Do you like a comfortable, casual atmosphere that feels like you're home? THIS is the place to be!From the moment you walk through the door and meet Dan the owner til you leave you will enjoy every second. His red pepper soup is incredible to say the least and paired with the roast pork, Apple butter and brie panini and you will wonder why you hadn't been there sooner. He is friendly, attentive, extremely accommodating and funny. Watching him whip up a fresh batch of to kill your diet banana muffins shows his love for what he does.
