I have no idea what these people do, or why they're considered a union. Skilled Trades are booming according to the government, but its impossible to find work for a 4th year Electrical Apprentice?? Indeed will find you a job faster and you own convenience

If you ever have a choice, do not chose CLAC! I have been off work for years now due to mental health and disease and they have done nothing for support or help. Sure the reps are kind and well spoken, but even despite chasing them, contacting them through an online support page and fully disclosing my situation, they have never followed through or support me in any way! Go anywhere but here!

C.L.A.C does not seem to get recogized for their efforts in the construction industry. From personal experience whenever I called my union rep Robert regarding work or advice on how to obtain work through this union; he would lead me in the right direction and would forward my information to signitory companies looking for employees. He and other employees of Clac would than extensively follow up to make sure that the interview went well to make sure their members are working instead of searching for jobs. If you are to join a union that represents you and your rights while making your vacation pay, benefits available to you that is easily accessed through your mobile phone, CLAC is the union for you.Pros of joining CLAC- members are generally more positive and happier creating a healthy work environment- pay is substantially better than working 'non union' however it may seem lower than the larger unions yet if you factor in deductions out of your cheque your dues you pay does not cover the astronomical overhead and expenses the larger unions carry.- whether or not the members incorporate 'faith' into their work or are hired based on their beliefs CLAC operates with a positive set of values.The way I see it if you earn an honest living working hard than have a group or organization that is honest and operates with integrity handle your pension, collective bargining agreement, training, benefits and vacation pay.- pay schedual is generally is determined by the employer doesnt matter which union you are a member of.- CLAC does have less companies that employ their members however they also have less members in their regions which means that aquiring a job is a more personalized experience that can be done online instead of waiting In Line"-respect. Your rep will respect you

If you have any respect for yourself as a tradesman then do not work for this organization. Be better than that

Did my mental health first aid training here. The instructor Alex had years of experience in the field and he was very knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the two days at clac. Plus great food choices. I would definitely recommend taking a mental health first aid program here. You'll learn a lot under Alex s supervision
