Jenna was the absolute best! I’m an American and the mother of my kids is Canadian. I was so nervous about doing a family law case especially not being a native to the country. I don’t know the laws or regulations of Canada, and being taken advantage was definitely a possibility! Luckily I ran into Jenna who was super reasonable, down to earth, but definitely a next level professional. There were times I was frustrated with what the mother of my kids was requesting in negotiations and I just wanted to pay the additional money and go to court. Instead of just taking my money she would calm my thinking down and explain the benefits of trying to work it out and the negatives so I could make a reasonable decision. Melissa helped my wife and I with our embryo donation agreement as the intended parents. She was efficient, and knowledgeable and thought to put things in that the other lawyer would ask for, saving us back and forth, time and money. She thoroughly explained each section and answered any questions that came up. It was so great that she had a good relationship with the donors' lawyer as well, which made the whole thing so smooth and seamless. I called a ton of fertility lawyers and Melissa was the only one who was so caring off the hop! She was also the most affordable which let’s face it, fertility is not. I was a client of Crossroads Law to put a cohabitation agreement in place. It was a very good experience given that I had no prior exposure to this kind of process. First, I would like to say that Tanya at Crossroads Law made my very difficult experience feel as comfortable as possible.
