Just finished a trip with group of friends to South Africa organized by Theresa Bobrowsky. It was a truly great trip and could not have been better planned and executed. Theresa saw to every detail and most importantly hired all the right people on the ground to move us, feed us, wine us and take care of us. Parts of South Africa can be challenging but Theresa made sure we felt safe at all times and in all places. Can't recommend working with Theresa strongly enough, and hope that I get the chance again.

Cathy has been our travel agent for more than a decade.She helped us with multiple cruise and airline bookings.Her knowledge and expertise of the travel industry is excellent.When changes to the existing booking where required she always facilitated without hesitation. We have recently returned from an unforgettable trip to South Africa, coordinated by Theresa Bobrowsky of Departures Travel. We went on a wonderful three week adventure through South Africa, beginning at Kambatu Game Reserve, on to Cape Town meeting wonderful Christo Brand friend and ally of Nelson Mandela. We traveled through to Hermanus to see the Right Whales breaching in the bay. The trip finished with Stellenbosch where we not only visited many lovely vineyards, but spent a morning on a cheetah reserve. The entire holiday was filled with so much to see and learn. We enjoyed the vast array of birds and basked in the perfume of the wonderful flowers. We were amazed that no one ever mentions the beautiful fragrant flowers of South Africa.Most importantly our wonderful guides John and Sonja helped us to experience South African life and meet so many lovely people. Thanks to Departures Theresa for bringing this great trip to fruition.

We just got back from a small group tour of South Africa with Theresa Bobrowsky. It was spectacular and truly the trip of a lifetime. Theresa did a terrific job of organizing an itinerary based on our common interests and engaged extremely knowledgeable and capable people to guide and take care of us. In particular, John Lawrence did a terrific job guiding our group around the Western Cape with great knowledge, insight and humour. I don’t know if we would have done this on our own so it was marvellous to sit back and enjoy the experience without worry. Wine tours, historic sights, botanical gardens, cultural experiences, and a safari all contributed to an amazing experience. We could go through and mention every one we encountered since they were all marvellous but also need to mention our day at the Cradle of Humankind with Dr. Stephanie Baker. What a privilege. Thanks to Theresa as well for arranging a last minute tour in Johannesburg of the Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill. Very powerful. We would not hesitate to go on another trip organized by Theresa. Thanks so much.

Five Star ServiceWe have worked with Cathy for many years when planning our trips. Service is always wonderful. Extra praise this year as things have been - fluid!Cathy is very detail oriented, and willing to answer many questions along the way. On our most recent trip things kept changing, even while we were away and she kept totally on top of the situation, and kept us informed along the way. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing that she was keeping an eye on things.Through her network Cathy has knowledge of many different tour operators and interesting hotels. She has really enhanced our trips by finding us interesting people to tour with and interesting places to stay along the way. And this is in addition to her excellent knowledge of the cruise ship industry!Cathy is friendly, professional and fun to work with. We have used Departures travel more than once for booking a vacation and always appreciated the professional service we received from Cathy Larsen and her team. Today I asked for her assistance in cancelling a flight which I had booked myself. I sat for hours on hold with the Airline with no result. We have been dealing with Theresa Bobrowsky over the past two years trying to book a holiday to Hawaii during the demanding pandemic situation. We have found Theresa to be patient, professional and empathetic as we have tried to navigate the various, and fluid, travel restrictions. Although we were ultimately unable to make the trip work, it was through no fault of Theresa's. She gave us timely and welcome advice throughout and always protected our interests (which is more than I can say about our national airline, but this is not the place for that). We plan to travel again once the restrictions have been lifted, or at least reduced, and will most definitely engage Theresa and Departures Travel to help us plan our trip. I highly recommend her.

Theresa was recommended to me by another stellar Sidney professional.I hadn't travel in a few years due to ill health and then Covid arrived.I was to travel to Italy for my daughter's wedding and then UK to visit my mother. I was quite apprehensive given my physical limitations and all the present day hiccups with air travel.Theresa was so kind, understanding and went above and beyond to rearrange things for me when the wedding was cancelled due to Covid. I just visited UK.
