Steve's NOFRILLS Castlegar
When Daniel Buskas hung his uniform up in the rafters, I had a bad feeling about the future of this store. Since then, the meat department has been lackluster in regards to leadership and overall stock. I would pay Daniel Teck-Cominco money to come back to this establishment, to resurrect it from inevitable economic failure.

Excellent prices, fresh food as in expiration date is accurate and trustworthy. The fresh fruits and vegetables are a bit weak because the produce is either good quality of terrible. Yet the meat, dairy, snacks and packaged goods are all tremendous. So I would tell anyone looking to shop for groceries in Castlegar to make No Frills your choice; hands down!

My go-to shopping store because we live just a few blocks away. They have almost everything I need and the prices are the best in town. The majority staff are friendly and it's easy to get what I need. I can make my list ahead of time and rely that what I want will (almost always) be there — please keep the Tazo Chai in stock :)

Good to have a big store in a small town, although the chicken in all super stores and no frills taste terrible in the last few years, turkey too, I get my chicken and turkey elsewhere.

Good selection with a clean and well organized store.Staff is pleasant enough, and prices are comparable or lower than local competitors.Stock is better than the Kurtis' No Frills in Trail most days too.
