The foods are good, the atmosphere is fancy and getting busier during the night. Should allow customers for the tip options, I found the automatic 15% tip added is not right while the service was not that expected, only bringing foods to the table.

The dim sum honestly was quite mediocre. We ordered the basics (ha gow, rice noodles, fried squid tentacles, salted egg yolk buns), and nothing really lived up to most dim sum restaurants uptown. Haven't really been to any other dim sum restaurants downtown so maybe that's the standard, but just not my cup of tea knowing I can definitely get something better for same price.

Decet dim sum place and prices. Service was good. 15% tips included by default. Har Gow and Siu Mai was good. Char Siu Bao and Curry Squid were ok. Beef tripe was done well but heavy ginger taste. Beef noodles uses narrow flat noodles instead of the wide flat noodles but enough wok hei" and a little under salted. Stuffed eggplant and tofu stuff with prawn filling were over cooked/fried."

Welcome back to a Chinatown staple.Went with a friend just after the the new location opened, everything still good. Plenty to eat, same service as always, not too expensive.I’d never had the sesame balls before but I’ll be getting them in the future.

Food was pretty tasty! Even the worst decisions were still good, let alone a few ones I wish I had more stomach space for.Service was really fast! But not the comfiest seating with how packed it was.Probably one of the best dimsum places in Toronto. Might not be markham quality but it definitely scratches the dim sum itch!

My fav dim sum in Toronto! You must try the pan fried short ribs, they are amazing! Service is usually on point & the food always arrives fast & fresh. If you haven’t already, give this a try!

New Rol San looks cleaner and nicer. I liked decor in their washroom as well.My visit was on Monday around 1:30pm there were only two tables empty. However it was slowly getting clear up after 2pm.They automatically add 15% tips to your bill and serve $1.50 per person tea without asking. Just be aware.

Their new location has very good atmosphere and is still definitely very busy. The dim sum is very authentic and probably the best you could get downtown. There is a mandatory $1.5 tea fee (standard for dim sum spots) and a mandatory 15% tip that is included in your bill. We ordered enough for a bit of leftovers and spent $40 per person. Definitely a bit on the expensive side for dim sum but the location can’t be beat.

Well, it's definitely just a good old dim sum spot. This is the spot for dim sum in the city, apparently, and it lives up to the hype I'd say. Don't expect anything more than your average service and atmosphere at any other dim sum spot but the food is on point. Very cheap, great portion sizes and a pretty important part for me is cleanliness especially in the kitchen and it didn't dissapoint.

The food was good; only thing I didn’t fancy is they automatically put a 15% “service charge” on your bill which I find a bit ridiculous considering our server did virtually nothing to make our lunch good; just threw on the food to our table and left without even saying anything. When I came in today, about 8 items were scratched from the menu which were unavailable, and then another item ontop of that we ordered, we only got told half way into eating that it was no longer available. Okay, whatever, understandable. The food was good and I still go there to this day; I just find that forcing people to tip when your servers don’t do anything is a bit ridiculous and has made me falter my opinion of this place overtime. For a total of 4 items I ended up paying -with the tip- a good 50$ which I found too much for dim sum. I got BBQ buns, shrimp rice rolls, custard buns, and the black bean short ribs. My least favourite were the ribs, they were COATED in fat and tasted/looked as if they were boiled and not pan-fried like the menu stated. My favourite was the BBQ buns; this is literally the only reason why I come here, their buns are top-tier compared to other dim sum places. All in all, it’s a good local place that serves traditional dim sum; just expect to be packing some bills if you’re ordering a large number, as previously stated, they automatically add a 15% “service charge” on your bill when the waiters don’t even do anything but give you food and stay quiet.
