Stitch It Clothing Alterations & Dry Cleaning

I had some favourite clothes altered by these folks and they did a wonderful job! Now I can enjoy them for a few more years. I am so thankful they are in Guelph, easy to find as they are at our Stone Rd Mall and so knowledgeable and friendly.

Long-time customer and never found them particularly friendly. The service has been expensive compared to some other places, but they've never seemed as unwelcoming/insulting and (borderline?) rude as they seem to have become. Interesting that they have either very good or very bad reviews; maybe it depends on how a customer looks, and their general impression of that customer based on that. If they are that disgusted by their customers (or those with a certain look) and/or their customers' clothes, they're in the wrong business. Hope to never go back - ever, and will not be recommending them any more to friends and family as they may also be considered undesirable as customers, and I wouldn't like them to have a similar experience. As for the owner's response to this review, I can only smile. Why would I 'contact you' for further discussion after being insulted twice in front of other customers and treated in an apparently discriminatory manner? No need for me to do that at all: I took the item to another local business which made no mention of 'policies' that apparently don't exist for everyone, didn't ask any questions other than pertaining to the job at hand, didn't make any insulting comments - which is what I would expect from a professional business that wants to actually serve _all_ its customers.

I had the sleeves on my suit jacket altered and a shirt pressed. The manager was very friendly and the work was completed accurately and on time. Great service!

I have used this business consistently since moving to Guelph many years ago.No matter who I encounter, the staff is always very pleasant, highly professional, and very accommodating.On two recent occasions, I have had very time sensitive matters that required tailoring with little to no turnaround time available.In both instances, without hesitation, the staff had offered to assist me and completed the alterations in the most minimal time.Excellent work and a pleasure to do business with.Thanks very much!

I believe the lady’s name is Maria. She was amazing helping me with my dress alterations for my close friends wedding. It was important to me to look great since I was going to be in family photos.My boyfriend and I been going there over a year now with dry cleaning but mostly for all our alterations.Great job ladies

Only use this place if you need last minute alterations and no other tailor in Guelph can help you. Cost me about 200 just to hem my dress, no other alterations, and their customer service was awful.

My friend and I had two bridesmaids dresses altered. One only required hemming for too much length; turned out acceptable. Second dress.. we had a sash removed along with hemming. The first time we returned to grab the dresses.. there was a stain & the sash removal wasn't done very well.. The lines didn't match up & there were still strings sticking out. The bottom frill" was sewn into the dress. Understandable the first time. Benefit of the doubt. Pandemic has everyone off their game. The second time we went to pick up the "fixed" dress.... there was still a frill or layer (will attach picture) sewn into the dress. Stain was removed though.. (She made sure to make that very clear.) The same mistake twice

Got a dress altered because it was too long as well as slightly too small in the bust area. I was so happy that they agreed to alter it even though it was a difficult ask and even more happy when I saw the results! You would never know that it was altered and I am SO happy with how well it turned out! It fits me perfectly! Thank you so much Maria and the rest of the Stitchit staff! Don't know what's going on at this location, but isn't operating like any other stitch it location I've used before. Tried to bring in a pair of jeans to be hemmed up, and they told me it would take over a week to be done, and earlier was not possible. Maybe they're just that busy, but I think I'm going to do a temporary serviceable quick fix with a pair of scissors that will take me 50 seconds. Just seemed weird. Loss of easy sales.
