Pedego Electric Bikes Nanaimo

We are so happy with our two new pedago e-bikes! The five star service Bryan has given us is outstanding: very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. Our customized e-bikes are perfect. We also received top notch ride alongs with Dustin who was so awesome in helping us get back into cycling! The e-bikes are outstanding quality and so easy to use. Cycling is so much fun again… those Nanaimo hills are no longer a problem. We highly recommend Bryan’s Pedago e-bike shop!Outstanding five star service and assistance with selecting and test driving the pedago bikes. Bryan was very knowledgeable, took lots of time with us to ensure we were matched with the correct bikes. No pressure what so ever.Today we came back for a test drive with the assistance of Dustin to guide the cycling trek. Dustin was also very knowledgeable and helpful with our ride. A super fun afternoon. It is so exciting to get back into cycling again.

The test ride was amazing! I was eased into the process gently and I always felt in control of the ride. Both of the bikes I tried were incredible and left me hungry for more. I’m so impressed with Nanaimo’s bike trail. I’m looking forward to incorporating a pedego bike into my lifestyle in a week and a half’s time (give or take a few days), thanks to a payment plan with paybright.The conversations with the staff (Bryan and Dustin) are informative and engaging and an absolute pleasure. So happy to have stumbled upon this warm and inviting space!

Updated review...After a couple months of dealing with this company I wouldn’t recommend these bikes to anyone. Not only was I sold a bike that worked for just over 2 weeks then had battery issues and error codes (send message for videos) and missing a large amount of work due to the bike just not even operating at times. I was then asked for a 10% restocking fee which I find absurd since their product was defunct. But then to maximize money they got to keep they decided to bring up a second bike that was traded in 3 weeks earlier and decided only now they want a restocking fee for both! This company is beyond greedy and the bike loses and gains power sporadically after 2 weeks of riding I’d highly recommend looking into a ebike at another location that actually cares for its customers. I will also be posting this to the main ridge rider review page and the main company as no one should have to go through this

Very impressed by the time and care that Pedego Nanaimo took over ensuring that the right bikes were offered. And a very lengthy (30 minute) guided tour around the neighbourhood meant that we got to try them out properly. Thoroughly recommended.****Nine months on and time for its first service and repair of a dinged front fender. Bryan had a spare fender due to an oversupply by Pedego and he simply gave it to us for free and fixed it there and then.Very positive feelings about Bryan's store, and Pedego in general.

I bought a well used Pedego a few days ago and needed some assistance. Dropped in on Cal at his Victoria shop not knowing what to expect. I wasn't his customer, just a random guy needing some help.It was like going to your nice uncle's bike shop and getting lots of advice, help with charging, batteries, etc. And then back again the next day in Nanaimo for more friendly assistance (plus a tasty and health smoothie).If only more bike shops were like this. I used my Pedego Latch to visit my 97 year old mother-in-law near Nanaimo. My trip included two ferries and a 30K ride each way.For several months my rear hub 3-speed shifter had been slipping every couple revolutions. While this was annoying I hadn't found time to take it in to get fixed as the nearest Pedego Dealer on the mainland is a 2 hour trip by car. I had contacted Pedego Support online and they sent me a video showing how to adjust the shifter. Unfortunately setting it correctly only increased the problem so I reverted to my ad hoc setting.While at my destination I remembered there was a dealer in Nanaimo and using Maps I discovered they were on my route home so I stopped in for advice.They were fantastic! Bryan graciously took me in and Andrew started looking at it. Andrew hadn't worked on a Latch 3-speed hub but took an immediate interest in it. Methodically removing parts and testing the function each step of the way he was able to resolve the problem in about 10 minutes. It's been working perfectly since.This was a learning experience for both of us and they have become my Pedego Dealer of choice from now on!

We bought two bikes from Bryan at Pedego Nanaimo today and we are absolutely thrilled. His professional, no-pressure attitude inspired confidence in both the product and the company. e-Bikes are fun and can be a life changer and their prices are all over the map. Pedego bikes aren't the cheapest of the bunch however when you buy a Pedego you're assured of great customer service by one of their dealers. They stand by their product and work with you to ensure your complete satisfaction and these days it's become increasingly harder to get customer support after you've put your money on the counter.I purchased a Pedego at the Victoria dealer in 2018 however the store closed in 2021 leaving the Nanaimo dealer the closest option. Over the next couple of years I had several occasions to contact Nanaimo Pedego for replacements parts and advice on troubleshooting a battery issue and each time Brian provided stellar support from start to finish.Brian is a great ambassador for the Pedego brand!
