Amicis Gardens

Well-kept grounds and greenhouses, plants were in nice shape considering the season is getting on. Lots of cute garden design ideas, and enjoyed looking at the woodworking. Owner allowed us to bring the doggo around on a leash, which was very sweet (it was hot and I wasn’t comfortable leaving her in the car). I would give 5 stars except it’s always uncomfortable when you leave a business wondering if you’ve been racially profiled. Nothing egregious or awful, just felt awkward about the interaction at checkout. I can’t remember the last time I felt uncomfortable buying plants — as a botanist, I’m prone to over-indulging my passions, so perhaps this was a necessary intervention to reduce my inclination to accumulate photosynthetic friends.
