Great facility! Super technical instruction, great group of guys and gals to train with.The facility is clean and well maintained. The Head Instructor, Mike, does a fantastic job of breaking down positions and techniques to the most efficient way of executing them. A solid mix of bjj fundamentals with some modern jiu jitsu flare. The group is very friendly and quite respectful of experience and abilities.Always a good time on the mats at Guardhouse!

Probably the cleanest BJJ gym I have ever been to, very impressive. Mike and his team and amazing and very welcoming. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to start Jiu Jitsu in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.

I started training at Guardhouse BJJ in July 2021 when I returned to KW from three years in Nova Scotia. The instructors and coaches here are exactly what you need if you’re looking for competition, honing a marvellous array of medals themselves. Mike is down to Earth, caring in his delivery of material to students, values seeing success in his students however large or small & his life partner Jill is wonderful too. I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean atmosphere as well a modern take on a historically-dominant martial art. With much needed fundamentals to add to any competitor’s arsenal, they are such a great pleasure to train with. Thank you!

Guardhouse is a great environment to learn BJJ. After only a few classes you feel a part of the club family. Although it is a relaxed and friendly environment, serious BJJ is on the menu with many skilled partners to practice and learn from. Mike is a particularly good instructor having the gift of teaching that few possess.The vibe here makes Guardhouse a hidden gem in the Tri-Cities area

Haven't had the chance to check out the facility yet but have previously trained with and under Mike, Kevin and Tony - they're top guys. Almost 9 years later I still hear Mike's instruction in my head when I roll. If I lived in KW I'd be training here.

Great gym with an incredibly clean and welcoming atmosphere. Awesome zebra mats on top of a spring subfloor, and individual showers available. Helpful instructors that are committed to helping you improve your BJJ no matter your skill level, and are actively bring in new techniques from high level BJJ.

The best BJJ club in the region (if not Canada). Guardhouse BJJ is a very clean club. Mike is an excellent teacher for beginners and advanced students. Respect and Vigilance are always reminded to avoid injuries and ego. I had the chance to test several BJJ club in the world Guardhouse is on the top of my list. Great experience. From the staff to the trainers, everyone was really welcoming. Cleanliness was obviously paramount and safety was emphasized throughout. I would highly recommend this gym.
