My company, Unwrap Theatre, rented this space for a rehearsal process during the COVID-19 pandemic (Phase 2). Pia and Maurisha were incredible. Immense kindness and care, they even introduced my dance partner and I to their students! The facility is beautiful. Very large studios that are kept clean and tidy. Excellent communication and a concise/organized administration process. Would highly recommend to any companies or artists looking for studios or a black box theatre to rent.

PBS was an integral part of my childhood and youth. It was a supportiive community that helped to foster my love of dance.

The adult ballet program is really great. The teachers are welcoming, and provide fun and challenging classes. I would highly recommend any adult to give the classes a try here!

Amazing dance school that has created a love of dance, community and wonderful performance opportunities (esp the annual Nutcracker) for my daughter.

40 years ago I started dancing with Ms Bouman in the back of Our Lady of Lebanon church. And now, my daughter has been dancing with her for 10 years. Through location changes and Covid, the school has remained a loving and authentic ballet school. The teachers are fantastic and all are welcome to dance who wish to, there is even a bursary program to make that a reality. Then, there is the Nutcracker, which is an experience rich with tradition your child will surely to adore.

There cannot be enough exultant words written about this dance school. If dance is about expressing the most complicated and most beautiful parts of what it means to be a human, then this is the place for that.Pia Bouman is a true treasure to this city, and any child who has the very great privilege to grow up dancing at her school is a lucky soul who will forever feel enriched, and know themselves more intimately and with greater empathy, grounding, and freedom than most.It's also a great dance school, but more than anything else it's an incredible place to grow up, to be supported by a wonderful community, to learn discipline and freedom, expression, team-work, musicality, belonging, creativity, respect, endurance and individuality.This is a very special place indeed, and your soul will know it deeply, long after you've grown too old or moved too far away to keep dancing here.

Our kids have been in ballet lessons for several years and they really enjoy it. They offer very professional classes with top rate instructors.

Not just a dance studio, Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement is also beautifully nurturing and welcoming community. The quality of the performances, especially the annual Nutcracker, is outstanding and this is due to the incredibly talented teachers and the love of dance they develop in their students.
