Southport Apartments

Great place to live! The building is nice and clean, and you've got everything you need. Property managers are great too! Highly recommended.

Southport is home to beautiful apartments and a great location, but they are extremely overpriced even for the south end. Originally I was told that dogs over 25 pounds were allowed to live at Southport. I was contacted after I put in my application and was told that dogs over 25 pounds are no longer allowed - very disappointing.

Good apartment, but the leasing agent Hyko Wilson is very unprofessional.

Like the location, style of building and neighborhood is great. Management is helpful and prices are on par with other building around area, yet this one is way nicer. But does have a dog policy, under 25 pounds.

Beautiful apartment, building manager is kind

Such a nice place to live. The unit is very clean and white which I love because I can decorate however I like, and the appliances are high end. Units are pricer than your average apartment, but there are no cockroaches or mice which seem to be EVERYWHERE in Halifax. And it’s still a lot cheaper than other high end buildings such as the Maple. Only downside is living on the North side of the building the view is of the back side of superstore and the loading bays. Very ugly... but I guess thats the card that sometimes gets drawn when living downtown. The trains aren’t nearly as loud as I thought they would be. The windows in the unit insulate sound very very well. Theres a decent amount of ambient noise on the balcony, but that again I’ve accepted as part of city living. Overall it’s a pretty sweet spot!

Very pretty new modern building with some nice amenities. I like the rooftop space. The gym on the lobby level is very open to the street and passers by so some people might be iffy on that

It is 9am and I am listening to the sounds of drilling and hammering without notice. It is so loud that it sounds like it’s coming from my own apartment. No notice was given to warn tenants of renovations or construction. This has happened two days in a row so far. I work late and I’m a full time student. In addition to this incident, little notice is given if entry to unit is required, the notices are vague and do not provide a specific time or even a general time frame— I have been woken to workers INSIDE my apartment multiple times now. Extremely disappointed.

I like the tenants, location a bit loud next to Superstore and Tim's but units are small but stylish and management is really on it and awesome!
