State of the art facility! Love how the hospital is striving for a low carbon foot print! Doctors and nurses are nice but the parking is beyond horrid… I’ve seen nurses get tickets in the public parking spots for being nurses and not civilians, that makes my blood boil. People also need to understand the the food you get from here will not be from a 5 star restaurant!

My daughter had her toe nail cut when we were traveling in Kelowna. The doctors and nurses in Minor’s Emergency Room gave us such a nice experience that they not only helped her wound to heal but also changed my total feeling about hospitals which was formed in another country. My daughter and I were super scared before we went to the ER. But after we left it, we both said that next time we won’t be worried before we go to a hospital. I just want to say a big thank you to all the health care workers there and let them know how amazing they are, how they changed our old fear about hospital and how they made us love Canada more.

Came in for Afib at 7:15am and was out at 9:15am. The triage staff where kind and eager to help. The nursing staff was also kind and the team work very efficiently together. Jeffery the ER was a 26 year veteran at the hospital was understanding and got the cardio conversion started right away. I would like to give my thanks to everyone involved today with my Afib cardio conversation. I hope other patients experience. Great caring professionals here. Again thank you. I and my little family appreciate all that you all do.

The doctors and nurses at the Emergency Room are absolutely amazing. They have kept positive and more than productive throughout the pandemic and deserve everyone’s respect. I visited the Emergency Room recently and Dr Jen and Nurses Linda and Rosalyn were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for your help and compassion.

Very mixed experience. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular at registration, other staff were careless and uninterested in the well being of the patients with poor bedside manners and inappropriate comments to several people who were in the ER at the same time we were. Go elsewhere if you can.

Well coming from someone who has had FAAAR to much experience with hospitals. We honestly have some of the nicest medical staff I've encountered. I've had four complete hip replacement surgeries , shattered my pelvis, head trauma, had pancreatitis, reconstructed nose surgery 2 times, twenty pins in my upper thigh, pins in my wrist, and Actually maxed out on the amount of times a person can have a defibrillator used on them to revive them getting a paulse, so they had to jam a I.V. into my hart .So they can use adrenaline to bring me back. And that's just some of my terrible medical history. That being said, I feel I am qualified to give my opinion of our Kelowna Hospital compared to other Hospitals. Actually the day before yesterday I received my second hernia surgery at KGH. So I have some more mesh to add to my collection.lol. The staff in the recovery room were second to none. By far my worst experience was at Royal Columbian Hospital.Just thank yr lucky stars you don't live near there, and we have KGH. With there amazing surgeons(like Dr Wilson) and staff. Keep up the good work. Your compassion is felt by thousands . We thank you..P.S. my butt still hangs out of these darn gowns/potential streaker appearal;)

I had the worst experience in this hospital. I went to emergency because I was pregnant and bleeding with pain. They had me almost 6 hours waiting in the waiting room, not even one of the nurses came to me to check on me, I was literally crying of pain and they didn’t gave me a pill or something. I miscarriage mostly there and in the washroom in the waiting room. They didn’t even offer a pad or anything they just walked by like nothing. This happen in May and since then I didn’t do a review because it’s so traumatic to even remember this. I hope I don’t have to come back here.I don’t know what is going on in the health system in Canada but it’s horrible not just the lack of doctors but also how health care staff approach situations leave a lot to desired I know they are collapsing but the lack of empathy it’s what scares me the most.I hope nobody else has to go through for what I went through in this hospital.

Such a disappointment. Many patients were complaining about the poor service and animal like treatment. If you are bleeding and crying in the chair waiting for hours you shouldn't have to listen to nurses talk loudly about their wine in their car and laughing out loud about it. This place seriously treats you like the proverbial - you're just a number. If you don't have compassion as a nurse at least keep it to yourself. And there are no other options so KGH emergency it is. You just have to continue to bleed and cry until the Dr decides to come back from his break. Tsk tsk

I had an excellent experience at the Emergency Room yesterday. I was taken in with 30 minutes and seen by a doctor with another 10 minutes. All my tests were completed and I was discharged all within 3 hours. The doctor and nurse were awesome knowing the pain I was experiencing.

Very impressed! Doctors and Nursing Staff are efficient and capable people. The doctors are good listeners and very thorough. It needs to be said that the Staff of this department are run off there feet but they do their job well regardless. There professionalism and dedication in giving excellent care is amazing. Thanks KGH my first, and hopefully, onlyexperience in your E.R. was a positive one and I do appreciate everything you did for me.
