I was driving to work this morning on Hwy 2 north of Calgary and I was passed by one of your vehicles (a Mercedes van). I would estimate the speed at about 140km/hr. If this is how you regard the safety of others on the road, I can imagine that you would have the same disregard for your customers. Very unprofessional!!

Unfortunately with the way your drivers conduct themselves on the road it is worth a 1 star review. Coming out of okotoks in an 80 zone I witnessed the driver of one of your trucks fly passed people in a turning lane through an intersection. Driving over curbs swerving going into shoulders. Very unsafe and very unprofessional behaviour in a company marked vehicle. They can severely harm someone. This seems to be a trend based off of a couple other reviews. I highly recommend looking into your employees and their driving and investing in dash cams before they harm anyone on the road.

Monday, June 20: Please educate your drivers. Your driver was on Deerfoot North at 7:20 am with a big red gravel truck. No real traffic except the long build up of vehicles behind him while he drove 70-90 kms per hour from Calgary South to the North... IN THE LEFT LANE! After I managed to pass him, I realized your driver was playing on his phone while holding up traffic. I hope you have a dashcam to see how poorly he was driving. Get the heck off the road if you don't know the basic rules.

Showed up same day and did the work. The crew was professional and did a good job so I think this is a company actually deserving of the name A-1!I opted to not pay for the optional clean up because it was outside work.$150 is a lot.

Very pleased with the work that A-1 Concrete did at our home. The front entry sidewalks were finished beautifully and the suggestions that Trevor made helped to elevate the look. We also had a garage pad done - the quality is exceptional. Would highly recommend….

I’m cutting a door into my basement. I had a concrete chain saw rented a week earlier. Total failure! Avoid them for jobs like these! I was out 400$ for a saw I used 5 minutes. Called A1 and got great service from the start. Fair quote and set a date. Chris and Jordan came out right on time today. Super nice hardworking young men. It was apparent in minutes these guys are pro’s and this is not DIY job. HIRE THE PRO’S -trust me.The job was done in under an hour with little mess. I can say I was absolutely elated with the job.The boys left and I called in to pay my invoice. The job went so well my invoice was reduced!I would have paid more if they asked.This is how honesty and integrity work and this is why this company has been around as long as it has. I will tell everyone to use this company and if I need concrete cutting done in the future, there is no doubt who I will call.Again, don’t DIY this work HIRE A1 - best move you will make.Thanks A1David Dore Cochrane Alberta.

Onsite team did a decent job cutting the hole for the window, however, there was no site cleanup. On the interior, I was left with a mess of small broken concrete pieces, and concrete dust was everywhere. To make matters worse, I was left with 700 lbs of rubble to dispose of. Apparently, disposal of the concrete is an optional service ($150 fee) that they provide. They really should advise people in advance of this option. Not the kind of surprise that customers typically enjoy. When I called the office to express my frustration, they were not helpful in addressing my concerns. The person I spoke to, let me know this is a common complaint. Given that, you would think they make sure that people are aware ? Anyways, be prepared for the cleanup, dust and disposal of rubble. At the very least, be prepared to pay the $150 fee on top of what is quoted.
