One size fits all approach, which resulted in me cancelling IVF mid-cycle because compromise was not considered, additional treatments weren't explored. This was despite I told the staff of my care conditions. Was also the most excruciating ultrasound appointment I ever endured. Saw spots, tried not to scream, almost blacked out. I didn't feel safe continuing. I was a patient type they didn't know how to deal with and they never apologized for the negligent care. Many additional failings surrounding appointment bookings, delays, their narrow-minded recommendations to use only one Life Labs clinic (which still botched the lab work), website is slow and inefficient, mess ups on troves of paperwork. $2000 for admin fees + $2000ish for courier just to transfer only his gametes. They really don't listen. We're working with Americans for the surrogacy. PCRM failed to do FDA health screens, so why would we pay such an amount when we have to fly him down and do this portion for cheaper?I personally think anyone who rates this place 5 stars are the same people who would sell their soul for a baby and tell the devil he did a good job. Going through the American clinic for our egg donor/surrogacy portion, and already they're superior for scheduling, communication, promptness, etc. There isn't enough competition in the Canadian market to improve the quality of what is available. I'd have avoided this place if I had a choice, but the Americans were clear that my safety was priority, so had to do this in Canada and at least the hospital (RCH) did their part well when this process turned south. Not PCRM.

In my experience PCRM prioritizes financial gain above all else. Ever since they took over, they have been solely focused on making a profit at the expense of my wife’s well-being.For example, my wife has already experienced two IVF cycles with the previous company before PCRM took over. We had a consultation with the PCRM doctor about the next steps and he recommended that we use a donor egg. This gave us a lot to think about and we didn’t move forward with that cycle or book any appointments regarding a third cycle. All of a sudden, we receive a number of warnings that we will be taken to a collection agency for a cycle we never booked. We have received numerous emails from PCRM regarding collecting alleged debts for this cycle. These emails contain several practices that are illegal under federal law. For example, we did not sign any contract with PCRM that we would be completing a third cycle, so their attempt to bill us for it is unlawful. These emails are incredibly threatening and unprofessional. I know they have no legal grounds, but the unprofessionalism of sending such emails is extremely concerning. Furthermore, they are now emailing these notices to my wife, even after I asked them to stop.I believe that PCRM is engaging in illegal debt collection to the point of harassment. When we initially engaged fertility treatments, the company was under a different business name. Ever since PCRM took over, it has become cold, rude, and frankly, amateur in the way they treat customers like their personal bank account.Such a severe lack of emotional intelligence during an incredibly stressful journey is completely unacceptable.

Our experience at PCRM Burnaby was not satisfactory. There is much to say, but the previous reviews below scoring 1 are wrapping it all up pretty well. Our only advise to all who are looking for assistance to conceive is, look elsewhere. This is not the place you will receive care and top rate professionals that you are paying for in high amounts. When thinking of this clinic, the words that come are: self-interest, defensiveness, mistakes, minimal time for patients, unavailability, lack of experience. We only regret we followed one person's recommendation and we have not done our due diligence to research all the clinics available and their success rates comparing to this one.

Editing my previous review to 4 stars. We've done a couple of IUIs and are going through our first IVF cycle with PCRM. Our overall experience has been positive, in particular due to the expertise of the medical staff, but the management of the clinic has a few things that it really should improve on.The good:1. We met many amazing nurses during our time with PCRM. They were very patient (Mary and Dana in particular), knowledgeable, and simply willing to help in any way they can.2. The doctors here are very professional and knowledgeable. While routine appointments were usually quick, we never felt rushed when we had questions to ask.3. We were never made to wait for more than 10 minutes for our appointments except on a couple of rare occasions. The bad:1. While we've had good interactions with admin staff during all in-office appointments, the other interactions were less than satisfactory. We've had one case of a missed phone appointment due to miscommunication/lack of communication between reception and the doctor's personal assistant. The response to us was condescending with no apology given, and we missed a treatment cycle because of this. There was also another case when the assistant had told us the wrong appointment date and I only found out by checking my patient portal. Furthermore, it appeared that our primary physician was changed without our knowledge (although this does not seem to matter as stated in the next point). While we were reassured that our primary physician did not change and it was just that another doctor had been added, everything on the record showed only the name of the doctor that got added. A week after being reassured that we were still under the physician that we originally requested, we inquired about this again and surprise, we were switched to yet another physician whom we've never met before. It doesn't matter to us what the internal administrative process is. The fact that this has been so confusing is simply unnecessary for the patient to go through. These small mistakes are slowly eroding our trust in the clinic.2. During your treatment cycle, you will deal with whichever nurse and doctor that are available during the time of your appointment. It does not seem to matter much who your primary physician is. Our medication dosage was determined by whoever did the ultrasound. If you prefer individualized patient care or having touch points with as few people as possible, you should look elsewhere.3. The patient portal is poorly designed and full of bugs. If the clinic relies on this as a way to communicate with patients, it needs to be reliable. Examples of bugs: many important documents don't load properly in the mobile app, once a line of message in the test results exceed a certain length the mobile app cannot display the rest, the mobile app and the web version display different amount of information etc.

I am very happy with my experience with this clinic. Since I was first referred there, I was patiently given a comprehensive understanding of all my options. I never felt pressured to try IVF until we were ready (as it is obviously the most costly option). The front desk staff were always courteous, the doctors professional and kind, and the nurses absolutely wonderful. All my blood work and ultrasound reports were quick and available to me through the patient portal. I was given the option of using their onsite pharmacy or my own. I received compassion and support from the staff. Late night random questions to nursing? Kind, non-judgemental responses the next day! Information needed for my insurance? A quick call back from the PCRM pharmacist. I recommend this clinic and wish luck to those who need it!

This was a horrible experience I would never even think of going to PCRM for any fertility or any treatment. Dr. Jeff Roberts was very nice I had my 1st phone apt with him. After a few blood work I would have had to book an apt in office. But unfortunately it didn’t get to that. The assistant of dr. Jeff Roberts you know who you are so I’ll act like an adult not name her. So it came down to that hsg apt maybe all you have heard of this apt and maybe a lot of you ladies who are trying to conceive and want to. Well first of all I want to mention we come to a fertility clinic in sigh of hope to get pregnant have a baby I didn’t sign up to have anxiety, panic attacks or have high BP. The response I received from this absolutely unprofessional assistant in that office was oh we don’t fill that form, I don’t know we have never filled it you have to wait when ever you get that apt. Well good luck maybe if you are lucky in the next 2 years. You can’t prebook prior to 1st day of period, by the time you attempt to book oh sorry SOL maybe try again next month. This is absolutely ridiculous I have missed 4 periods already. I did not appreciate the help, support I deserved so I opted out of this clinic. The manager of this assistant was just as ridiculous I left her numerous messages on vm called her no reply didn’t even call me. I don’t have time to waste anymore time. The main receptionists at this office are amazing so professional just sweethearts wish I had noted their names. I just want to say warn the ladies be careful and choose other options I have also read other reviews they were disgusting absolutely disturbing. I even requested if anytime dr. Jeff Roberts can phone call me I was told by this manager oh he’s busy no time to call you. Well I also mentioned you have some sort of Apt in office for me booked end of this month I requested that manager to also go ahead and cancel I’m no longer interested and please delete all my personal information and data from your database and that patient portal. Anyways I want to formally confirm that it all worked out for me at the ends without her help and assistance there is great ppl out there plus god so never let anyone let you down and don’t give up I was literally in panic mode 1 day before 3 amazing woman stepped in that’s what you call customer service, compassion, caring how can anyone be so cold hearted I guess you have to be a mother to feel it. My apologies Dr, Jeff Roberts I had to cancel my upcoming future in office apt with you any withdraw from your office as I don’t feel confident or comfortable I don’t appreciate the inappropriate, inconvenience and unacceptable behaviour from your assistant. She also hung up on me when I even said if you can’t do my form where can I get from. Good luck to everyone

Started our first treatment beginning of 2020, then we did quite many treatments with PCRM. Dr Roberts was amazing, and every single doctors, nurses, staffs were great, we felt comfortable every time we walked into clinic for appointments. Glad we were under the care of them.

Would give 0 stars if I could. As previously mentioned they have a 'one shoe fits all' approach to IVF. After our failed IVF cycle we were told that we should look at surrogacy and/or egg donors with no real diagnosis given. Obviously we were devastated, but 6 months after we were able to conceive naturally while on supplements that a different fertility clinic put us on. And although we didn't get to do IVF with the 2nd clinic they based their supplements and protocol on unexplained infertility. It should be obvious that a medication routine should be based on a persons diagnosis but I guess not with PCRM. Waste of more than 20 K and 2 years of our lives.

Dr. Roberts and his team were fantastic! Every nurse and staff member were polite, kind and professional during our many visits. All our options were explained to us and all our questions were answered. The team called us with regular updates. I felt that the clinic was extremely well organized and run by people who care.
