After a 3 hour wait was told a minor document was missing (even though front check in indicated it was in order) and asked to return the following day. Booked appt and still waited 40 minutes. Agent who served me was dismissive and disinterested in helping. Suggested I follow up with the agent I saw the day before...who was not working that day. He made an error processing application, so now after a month of waiting I have to return to that office to sort out delay, while my travel date is looming. Worst customer service experience and delay I have ever encountered at Service Canada.

Wanted to renew my passport, so I downloaded the application form, had it filled out, took 2 studio photos, and went to this Service Canada location, which is located on Hwy 7, south of Markville Mall, to submit my application.I was greeted by the woman at the front counter, who asked me the purpose of my visit. I told her that I wanted to renew my passport. When I showed her my application, I was told that I could not renew it, since the expiration date was more than a year away.I told her that I would send the application in by mail instead, she also told me that I had to wait until it is within a year of the expiration date before I could send it in, to have it renewed.I had my suspicions, since I did not find any written information about her claim anywhere in the official Canadian Government website.I sent in my application the next day, by courier, and I got my new passport in 15 days.It is shameful for any Service Canada employee to lie, and to provide false information.I hope the management at this location would make sure that their employees provide meaningful info to Canadian.

Be prepared for poor to non existing services. I heard a gentleman said that he was here at 9am and at 1:10pm, he was still not served. Meanwhile i saw the front line reception was casually chatting with another colleague with complete disregard of 2 people waiting in line. It was not until I made them aware of my presence then she started serving the line. If this is not an essential and government monopolies business, this can not possibly survive as a viable business. It would have been replaced by more efficient processes or agencies.

Got here at like 645am for passport renewal. No one in line so I waited in my car until people started showing up. Someone lined up at 730am so I went and got in line. I was 3rd in line. Doors opened at 830am and there was long line outside the place. I had my application done by 925am.

There were some negative review on this service center but I personal experience for passport renew is very good. Location is great and staff including security persons are very friendly especially the reception Fahemah who is very friend, patience and professional. Overall this center and staff are very good and I recommend people who live around this area can go there.

Long wait time but the excellent service I received made the wait worth it. I received help from a young guy, he was very kind and made the passport process very smooth. He also took the time to answer all my questions about pensions without making me feel rushed.

I and my husband John just renewed Canadian Passports there this morning (Jan 6 2023). It took us 1.5 hour in total from arriving there till all done which is good. However all of the staffers serviced us (front-end welcome female black staffer, registration white girl, #6 white girl) were very cold as none of them greeting us but a big face instead. Not sure how they treat others but I did see the lady in front of me without Asian face did get warm greeting by the front welcome staffer. Is it just a random event ? I don't think so as it happened to 3 staffers who worked in the same place for Canadian Government which is unbelievable !!!I knew why this happened and totally understood your guy's dislike THEM, we too. But please treat ordinary people fairly & evenly as no one could represent the government especially whom the one left | abandoned for 20+ years !!!!!!

I understand why this location gets really low reviews. The lining system is dependent on what you’re getting serviced, and not based on number calling (ie., how many ppl in front of you). So even if you arrive at 8am, you may still wait till 1pm if you’re requiring a longer processing time. The security guard even confirmed this. Not a fair system. Otherwise, expect to wait for 2+ hr if you’re planning on getting your passport renewed here (longer processing time).Update: I went to the Service Canada IN Richmond Hill. I arrived early & was called within the hour & left 10 mins later! Service was faster & workers were friendlier!

As of today mid April we waited all day. So take the day off or come early and register so you save time. Depends on your situation it may speed up.Sign up online and there will be a 15-20 min wait but I didn’t have the option to book appointment so wait all day eg from 9-3. As for staff theres 5 on duty and last call to register is at 11ish. Best to come early!!Security is somewhat helpful but they focus on the front door and doesn’t manage the crowd. Poor funding or poor management at this location. They need a system to call name out and give people a better idea of the waiting time instead of wasting resource idling.

If you have booked an appointment to renew your passport, make sure you tell the front desk person that. I wasn't asked, so I thought they didn't respect those who had appointments. After an hour, I heard a staff call for a client with their appointment time. I then told the front desk about my pre-booked appointment. She immediately put my name on top of the list. I was called immediately and done in 15 minutes after that.Everyone was nice. Just thought they should've asked if you had an appointment up front.
