Hi Chose the Modern as the venue for my 40th Birthday. When I considered all I accomplished and created in 40 yrs I wanted it to be celebrated with the ppl I love the most! This venue was absolutely stunning! Above that, the service was impeccable! I had a touch of sticker shock when I inquired about cost, but in the end it was so worth it!! As it was a stunning venue and completely Turn key. The staff went above and beyond and we had a night to remember, until I book this place again for my 50th lol.

We stumbled across the Modern while looking for a place to host my Wife's 40th birthday party. Our original thought was to rent a hall but our top picks were gone... But that turned out to be lucky for us! I spoke with Dee and found out about all the extra services they provide (aka stuff off my plate) and decided to go with The Modern. Dee helped ensure I was informed on the few items I needed to take care of (alcohol, guestlist and a permit) and was there for any questions that arose. He even suggested a DJ who turned out to be great (shout-out to DJ BFad) and a photography options (but we ended up using our wedding photographer Sachin Khona whom we were surprised was available).The party turned out great and Dee's team was solid and checked in with me multiple times to see if I was happy or needed anything changed. The Modern's cocktails were amazing and it was great to not have to buy the mix and garnish - They even had a good mix of glassware such as copper Mule cups. They took care our (pre-planned) late night pizza order and ensure my Wife and I could relax and enjoy the evening. The venue is great and very versatile. It never felt empty or full as the party swelled from 35 to 90 at peak.We did a charity toonie bar and Dee had the proceeds for me before I went home (they even offered for me to count their float before the event). It was easy to arrange to pick up the left over alcohol after the event too.My Wife is already thinking of what event she can host here next!Thanks Dee and The Modern team for helping me host a great event!

This was my first time at the Modern and it was SUCH a brilliant experience. From the moment I walked in through the red carpet, I was immediately greeted so warmly and enthusiastically by the staff - I could already tell the energy and ambiance there was the perfect tasteful to elegant ratio. The venue is quite spacious, and open to a variety of options in terms of entertainment features - DJ set up, stage, dance floor, lounge vibes, beautiful decor, and food and beverage services.Dee has such a kind soul and is really there in every step to ensure things are running smoothly. His staff did a phenomenal job in making sure we all felt well taken care of. Definitely would recommend for anyone hosting exclusive, luxurious, and classy events - looking forward to more! Thank you, Dee and the staff at the Modern for a truly exquisite experience.

Dee was simply amazing. Stayed in touch with me and responded promptly to all my questions. He also stayed from the beginning to the end of the event to make sure everything went smoothly. Dom, our bartender was great and we got to try some of her cool cocktail creations. Venue was spacious, washroom was clean and sound system was really good. We brought in our own catering/food and the staff took the effort to plate them on their own serving plates that made it looked so much more appealing.

Very beautiful space with professional management! Very communicative and committed to making your event come to life! I will be renting again!

I love The Modern team, especially Dee, Rose & Kate! As an event planner, I always recommend this venue as they are an all-inclusive venue which makes both my clients’ and I’s lives easier. The ambiance of the interior is spectacular and they have a have high standard for customer service. You won’t regret booking with them!

We had my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party at The Modern and the entire experience was incredible. Dee and his entire team made sure the event went super smoothy right from when we booked until the end of the party. The service and help the staff provided on the evening of the event was beyond anything I expected. Everything is included to make event planning as easy as possible. My daughter and her friends said it was the best party they had been to! We are so glad we chose The Modern as our event venue and would highly recommend it.

Dee and his staff were phenomenal! The venue is beautiful, the setup was perfect and they were so attentive and focused on making sure our staff Christmas party was a success. I could not think of anything that I would change from that night. Thank you to the fun, friendly bartenders, the amazing door person, and the rest of the staff that were there to make the night stress-free and so much fun. I''m already planning our party for next year :)

This was my second experience at the Modern but my first time hosting an event myself. It was a memorable experience for myself and all my friends! This was my first time planning such a big birthday party, but Dee made it very easy. He was very quick to answering all my questions and guiding me along the process. The staff that night was exceptional, they were all very friendly and helpful! The venue itself is very beautiful and spacious, we had almost up to 100 people but it wasn’t at all cramped. Decorating was also optional, but as shown we didn’t need to as the interior was already nice itself. Was a pleasure to host my birthday here, would definitely recommend anyone who wants to have an upscale event to do it @ the modern!

Hosted our baby shower at the modern this weekend and WOW - from the booking process to clean up, and everything in between, it was perfect. Booking was a breeze. Staff was there to help set up - they went above and beyond. The bartenders and serving staff were phenomenal and took care of a wide array of guests and their needs. The place was kept super clean and they helped with food service, bringing out extra dishes, etc. On top of that the host at the door welcomed all of our guests and thanked them on their way out - something a lot of our guests gave us feedback about. They made the whole event a breeze to plan and execute - I would highly highly recommend The Modern for any event you're hosting, its definitely worth it and your guests will be left impressed! Thank you to Dee, Gurp, and the whole staff at The Modern!
