Writing from Boston. Yes, the neighborhood and living room are a little sketchy. Still, of the five places I've stayed in Montreal, this was the best: a good choice for someone like myself, on a budget, who likes to read quietly, and relax, and have accommodations near the subway. (If you're as half-blind as I am, make sure you're familiar with the floor, as there are a couple of small steps in places you won't expect.) I plan to return when I can; I found it quite pleasant & comfortable.

Great place to stay! Host was accessible instantly and comfortable with all amenities :)sSome information was not the clearest but once I contacted the host I got all my answers instantly!

A cozy bed & breakfast in a convenient location, steps away from metro station. Host was gracious enough to provide last minute accommodation when we showed up with an extra person. Hospitable, clean, friendly. Will definitely keep La Sieur in mind for next time we visit! Thank you Marc!

I sstayed here with my husband and we had a wonderful timeThe room was nice and big, cozy bed and great shower. We even had soap and shampoo to use. Everything was clean and owner was very friendly.

Great owner operated small hotel. Marc is very genial and helpful. Room tidy and clean. Like access to kitchen area for tea in the morning. Marché Maisonneuve is close by and has delicious croissants, cheese, groceries. Circuit Électrique has easy to use DC fast chargers right at the market -awesome!

Im gonna be honest this place was not the best when I visited, the place was not kept clean and looked like the people that had the room before me had only left 30 minutes prior to my arrival. The hotel didn't have the best of services but it was the best I could manage last minute.

Amazing experience in this place. Owner went above and beyond to accommodate us and our two dogs on last minute notice. Place was cozy, well kept and the price was amazing! Conveniently located right next to the metro and walking distance to the botanical gardens. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely be coming back if I visit Montreal
