Parks and Recreation | The Corporation of the Town of Gananoque | The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for overseeing the recreation facilities, programs and leisure services for residents and visitors. We work closely with community groups, volunteers and individuals as a facilitator to ensure that the community needs are addressed. Working together with our nieghbours in Leeds and the Thousand Island Township we offer a wide variety of recreational and leisure activities for children and adults.

Usually I like this arena because they actually heat the stands but today the heat is off. Without this vital redeeming feature, the arena is cramped the seats are hard. Everything is too small including the dressing rooms.

Was there for 4 days for my grandson Curling tournament. It was extremely cold in the Arena. There were heating units above us but they were never turned on. I have spent literally weeks in various Arenas as part of a hockey team but never experienced one as cold as this one.

In dire need of upgrades and a facelift, this is the beating heart of Gan and could use more thought beyond hockey and skating to service the increasing demands of a growing and diverse age population. The recent takeover of the snack bar is truly fantastic. The French fries are fantastic!

Its a great place to enjoy your family functions when you rent the banquet hall we just had Christmas Dinner all together as a family. You can also catch a great game of Hockey there as well.

Great old school arena great burn to watch some good hockey Plenty of parking and plenty of Seating, One thing I noticed was how well does ammonium driver did the ice I watched a lot of Zamboni drivers do the ice and she was by far one of the best no missed spots, very even and smooth. Keep up the great work you're awesome. Check out this great barn, you won't be disappointed.
