Ottawa Freeway Towing

This tow truck company is a complete scam. I got into an accident. Driver made it seem like my car was destroyed and undrivable when it was simply a small repair He told me he was bringing my car just down the road. I drive out to the place and it 30 minute drive from where the accident happened. When going to pick up my car in the middle of nowhere it was in the middle of a field filled with mud. Owner was delaying the days for me to get the car. My insurance rates are off the roof because of this tow truck company. Their prices are brutal and will keep your car hostage. Owner was very rude and even threatened me and my mother. Will be filing a police report towards the owner and this company. If you look at all of the 5 star positive reviews for this tow truck company, all of the people who “write” them only have 1 review. This just shows that the company makes fake accounts and makes fake reviews in order to not make the account look bad. The accounts that aren’t fake are the relatives of the owner Adam Sal. If you scroll down the reviews, you will Evan see a review from a man with the last name Sal. Also if you look at the reviews, all reviews are either 5 star reviews or 1 star reviews. If the reviews were real there would be reviews on the entire spectrum including 2, 3 and 4 star reviews. Think about it , the owner makes fake accounts and posts 5 star reviews and the people who get tricked by this crookery including myself will give 1 star reviews.Stay away from this company at all costs!

Looking at all the positive fake reviews...and thinking. Is that what it takes to create that fake impression about the company since google can’t really verify the legitimacy of the review posted?It’s a SCAM company. Avoid them at all costs. They use the loophole in the system to abuse your insurance company, which will in return drastically increase your insurance premiums.Once these people have your car, the towing will cost you or your insurance company over $2K. And if you don’t act as fast like I did the day after the accident, I was told that some unfortunate clients had a bill of close to $10K-12K.There is NO regulation in Ottawa for towing fees, so these guys will use any excuse to keep your car locked in their storage to squeeze the max storage fee.They billed illegally for all kinds of services they didn’t do. And unfortunately insurance company knew that and had to play their game just to get my car out of their place ASAP.They also never returned my car keys, which is really an illegal action.Shady company that rents the storage far from the city. Beware! They made me run around Ottawa like a kid.Call CAA if you need towing. You will be done in under $200 max..P.S. And my account isn’t fraudulent as you commented. I chose to keep it private. And there are no conflicts of interests. Do good job and truthfully earn good reputation. What you do isn’t appropriate.

We just had the driver/owner of this company cut us off as he was in a rush to get to the scene of an accident. He then proceeded to swear and use vulgar language at us with our daughter in the car. Don’t use this guy. Anyone who is willing to cause an accident themselves - then proceed to be unprofessional doesn’t deserve any business. Call someone else.

I was involved in a car accident couple weeks ago, and i called freeway towing to come help me out. No word of a lie, the guy was at the scene in less than 10 minutes. I was a little nervous as i hear a lot of stories about tow truck companies. These guys were an absolute delight to deal with. They were on time, clamed me down, broke down all the prices before proceeding. Then after they took my car. He asked me if anyone is coming to pick me up or if i need a ride. He then drove me home. He gave me their business card and said to call him when i need to take stuff out of my car. I called him few days later and we agreed to meet at their storage facility. I got there, someone was waiting for me. In and out in 5 minutes. I would highly recommend freeway to anyone who needs a tow or any of their other services

Best tow experience ever , quick, efficient , and friendly service . Would highly recommend and use them again .

STAY AWAY! By far the worst experience of my life. TOTAL SCAM. Only writing this review after being completely done with this company or I would have written this earlier. Was coerced into dropping off into their lot instead of my own shop. My carfax now has a insurance claim 10 times well over the damage of the car due to storage fees billed directly to my insurance company. Though I was not billed directly, my insurance took a hit and now premium has sky rocketed. I recognized this miscreant before when dealing with my ex girlfriends car a few years ago. Total scammer. DONT TRUST ANYONE WITH A MANBUN. No sense of heigeine, no reapect. While sitting in the truck on my way to the CRC the car smelt putrid; the last time I smelled something this bad was in 96 when I had come back from winter break freshman year and opened my locker only to see a balogne sandwich I had accidentally left in my locker before the winter break. As you can tell all the good reviews are FAKE. Adam was trying to make small talk with me to sign up for some multi level marketing like primerica. Worst of the worst. As we got further into conversation he was making antisemitic remarks. COMPLETELY RACIST. STAY AWAY.

This guy is a thief. He witnessed my minor accident and said that the car was a total loss. Took the car and would not answer calls at all so that the car stays with him longer, and he can charge the insurance company more. Went to the towing space and retrieved the car by myself, then he started calling, begging that we let the car sit with him. Imagine owning a car and have someone take it and you know nothing about it for 3 weeks.Avoid this burglar at all costs.

This company doesn’t deserve one star, a total scam and held our vehicle hostage in order to charge outrageous storage fees. Don’t you think it’s strange they don’t list a business address? I do not recommend this company to anyone!!

Literally the best towing company in the city. On the day of the collision we dealt with a guy named Henry who was so professional, patient and nice and provided us with all the necessary info. Then the excellent service continued with Michael who hand delivered my license plate. Dealing with a car accident is already stressful enough and these guys made the process that much easier and less stressful. Would recommend them 100%

I genuinely agree with the good reviews on here! I was provided with a great service for car problems during a stressful time. The car towing/repair industry is highly stressful and lots of factors impact timing and other concerns- nonetheless This company performed exactly what I needed, in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely contact them again if needed.
