Okotoks Karate
Sensei Steve is phenomenal. He is very supportive of the students and takes an interest in all of the kids. He has a wonderful sense of humor that the kids just love. Our son loves him so much that he wanted to model his haircut after him. The skills being taught go above and beyond karate. We would recommend Sensei Steve's classes to any parents looking! We love Okotoks Karate!

Okotoks Karate
I have been taking both my boys to Okotoks Karate since they were old enough to join. Sensei Steve Is great with kids and very patient. Both my boys have developed their self confidence through the teachings at Okotoks Karate. I would highly recommend Sensei Steve and Okotoks Karate to anyone new to the area.

Okotoks Karate
This place is great and so is Sensei Steve.It's a little early to call it and I worry about jinxing things but, I've seen a huge difference in my five-year-old since she started here about a month ago. She's proud of how she's improved in class, seems more focused, in general, and more respectful when I ask her to do things. It's a little sus, to be honest. (Joking.)Highly recommended, especially for kids who have trouble focusing in other sports. I think the direct instruction and consistent expectations are great for the little ones.

Okotoks Karate
I have been bringing my son to Okotoks Karate since it's inception 5 or 6 years ago. It has been a tremendously positive experience for my son's growth both physical and mental. Sensei's Steve and Duane provide excellent guidance for the dojo while teaching both martial arts and life skills. My son has the attention span of a typical 11 year old boy (which is brief at best). We have cycled through several other activities in the area (soccer, basketball, golf, swimming, etc.) but he remains highly motivated and interested in his karate training, and truly wants to succeed , progress and achieve!!

Okotoks Karate
I have been studying karate and other arts on and off for the best part of 35 years. I have been with Okotoks karate for the last four years, attending with my daughter who started at age six. The time that I have spent with my my dojo family has been extremely enjoyable and rewarding. I am inspired by the patience that Sensei Steve Vinden has for the kids and the adult students too. Not only is karate taught but solid life values are also emphasised - respect, honesty, hard work, integrity. I hope to be able to continue my training with Okotoks Karate for a long time to come. Thank you Sensei Steve, and everyone at the dojo!

Okotoks karate is THE place in Okotoks and surroundings where your kids can learn martial arts in a safe and friendly environment. Sensei Steve is the best and he's super friendly and patient with the kids and older students.We have our 4 kids doing karate here and they love it. I would never send them to another dojo.I wish I could rate this place with more than 5 stars because they definitely deserve it.

I don’t live in Okotoks but I drive all the way to Okotoks Karate just to learn from this amazing dojo!Okotoks Karate has classes for adults and kids. Steve Sensei teaches the traditional Okinawan style of Goju-ryu Karate where you not only learn the techniques, but the theory, application, and history of the martial arts.He literally has a library of knowledge and I couldn’t be more glad to have chosen this dojo!If you’re looking for a place to genuinely learn karate at any skill level, this is the place!

We have been attending Okotoks Karate for years now and I can honestly say that the values instilled in the kids helps to prepare them for the rest of their lives. Steve goes above and beyond to teach core values in conjunction with the karate lessons and we are grateful to be apart of his karate family.
