Sandman Inn Smithers

I asked for ground floor as stairs are a problem not realizing the awful stairs to get inside the building. The shower was gross. A huge stain or something not sure what was all around the drain and the spout was at a weird angle I’m not even sure if the shower would work? So dissatisfied with sandman hotels. Had much better rooms at a much better price everywhere else but here.

The beds was comfy, the TV had good quality and my brother was able to play hockey in the bassment.Tay 9 years old

Easy to find location at a reasonable price. Rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy.

Wifi signal was weak both my wife and I tried for for our 2 day stay. TV signal was at times blurry. For the most part it was clean but carpets need replacing. Ice machine was not working for our stay.

Place was clean, but dated. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved Chamoy especially!

Run down 1* hotel. No elevator for accessing second floor. Peeling wallpaper and paint, stains on carpets. Paid for Queen room, but bed a small double only. Aircon barely worked. Had to ask front desk for towels (none in room). The only good point I have is the location - easy to walk downtown.

Bathroom sink was plugged so was the tub. Both took all night to drain. Biggest issue was the diesel dump truck left running in center of parking lot ALL night. Noise and diesel exhaust. This place does not meet the expectations of Sandman! Won't stay here ever again. No sleep and a pounding headache!

Nice and cosy hotel within walking distance to centre of town and most restaurants. Staff are friendly and rooms comfortable.

Your hotel had the Sandman quality, but small rooms, I understand though, as it's an older building. It was relatively clean, the bed was not a Queen as we requested, it is a double, but super comfy mattress and i loved that it had a mattress protector. The windows need a screen. Must vacumn in crevices of lounge chairs, there was no plug in rm 313 for bathroom sink, need more regular channels on TV, loved the free water, juice and pop, I really liked the front desk guy named Oscar, he was very kind and respectful and he helped with TV and laptop issue to hook up. It was generally a good stay. The hotel needs an elevator, it was hard to get all my stuff up the stairs and stairs to get into hotel was hard too. Thank you

The manager who was on for our stay was top notch on the guest experience side of things, I believe his name was Eitsh. The room it self was very small as we had expected a little more room having booked a king. As for comfort and stay everything was inline for what is expected. Again the room did feel fairly cramped for us but the experience was a pleasant one.
