Northland Roller Rink

Been coming here since the early 80's. Love this rink. Been to a few rinks in the city and out of state. This is my favorite one, maybe because my history with this one lol.

I've always loved going to the Roller Rink and this is one of them! Walking in the door just felt nostalgic. The staff here is friendly and will assist with any questions. The restrooms are okay and managed frequently. The food stand is open mainly during matinee, or with family sessions. There are days that there are workshops and lessons on skating as well, those times have been rigorous yet engaging with learning very fast. There is also a skate shop open during matinee hours. The skate rentals are abundant and there is usually no problem finding a size. I would recommend a visit or two! The parties are always fun!

Never any good grooving music on the weekends like ever…they need to hire a new DJ that actually plays good songs back to back! Makes folks want to leave early or not even come…

I’ve been coming to Northland for years, I’ve taken many breaks throughout the years but tonight I came to the 25 & up skate from 10:30p to 1:30a. The floor has always been perfect but I had one issue, THE MUSIC!! It’s time to find a Dj that can play the music of 25 & up. I love house music, but can we get some good R&B music too. How in the hell do you go from Anthony Hamilton’s singin “the point of it all, i love you” to “I hopeless, like a penny with a hole in it”… this had been the most disheartening thing every time I visit. Can we get a new dj or some new tracks, I shouldn’t know the dj set by heart.
