East River Provincial Park
It's a fairly nice picnic park just off of highway #3, and just a few hundred feet from exit 7 for hwy 103. It has plenty of picnic tables for seating and a couple outhouses tucked away around the middle of the park, If you find yourself really needing to go. It's not usually a very busy park so it's a good place to get out and stretch your legs after a long drive without being overwhelmed with social interaction.

A nice small Picnic Park directly off the highway. Great place for a picnic with some covered picnic tables. A nice view of the water. I believe there is a charcoal recycling pit, a garbage recycling station and a single outhouse. It looks like a favorite spot as it's a little worn and could do with a bit of a refresher.

We love this park. It is a really convenient picnic park that we use when we are coming back to Halifax from camping further out. It’s in a perfect location for a break. Very small, with just a short pull off loop, but overlooks the ocean, and has a fantastic view. It seems fairly quiet most of the time too, which is so relaxing.

Why does the park say opened when its closed I drove 45 mins to have a picnic and it was roped off. but the web site still says it's opened

It's such a nice place, they have picnic tables and fire pits and bathrooms.Cute quick little spot out of the way to enjoy a snack with your family.

A really pretty little spot. My family and I have stopped for picnics there dozens of times over the last fifty odd years. The only downside is a blind hill near the exit from the park to the highway. Difficult to see approaching highway traffic.
