For official papers : Way too long and as someone said, there's difference of treatment between people, they let you wait 4h but others that came later 30min...

Great custom staffs with courtesy and smile, the crossing was fast, toilets are clean. However, if you need official papers like a visitor record from the miserable immigration staffs inside, brace yourself for extreme long wait, unprofessionalism and racist prejudices. I am very frustrated that my tax money actually goes to these folks and they give a bad image of Canada to foreigners.

Have never been to canada and we were just 3 hours from the border so with passports in hand, we headed north with a plan to go to Montreal. At the border my car was totally searched. Not sure what they expected to find but they denied entry to Canada -- no explanation. Six hours of driving and a few hours at the border wasted.
