Needed axle and hubs for trailer. Kevin was great, helpful friendly. Helped appropriate size and ordered correct parts. Accurate timeline for arrival. More expensive than ordering online but definitely got great customer service, thanks kevin, and correct parts.

Had Richardson's Boat Yard put the boat I purchased from them 13 years ago on their lot for a consignment/brokerage sale. Unsuccessful with a sale this season I went to pick up the boat to bring home for winter storage. To my surprise, puzzlement and disappointment I noticed the propeller missing. After waiting for a half hour while someone supposedly searched the entire service bays and rows of props, mine was not there. The sales guy comes out and says he has no clue where it is or why it was missing. I offer that someone must have jumped the fence one night and stolen it, and since it was in their care and within their responsibility for its security they should replace it. Like the other older review posted, all I got was denial and attitude, and the $200 fee for the consignment. No business owner in his or her right mind should ever NOT make SOME kind of attempt to make things right, rather than risk (and in this case GUARANTEE) loss of return business for one, and public exposure as hacks and apathetic business owners through written reviews of dissatisfaction. One would think, even if it wasn't a company or proprietorship with millions of dollars in sales and revenue annually, that they'd be all too eager to admit their lack of care and huge gaps in security and replace the stolen part.. no hard feelings. Not the case here. Too bad. I wouldn't recommend a transaction of any kind with Richardson's Marine, aka Richardson's Boat Yard to anyone.

After being giving multiple chances to rectify their poor customer service and even worse track record of caring for and solving problems, we have decided that Richardsons is not capable of running an honest or competent business. Moose Landing has easily solved all the issues that Richardsons was unable to deal with and exhibited professionalism and proficiency. Glad we made the change.

I had a wonderful experience with Richardson’s Boat Yard. They are very pleasant and helpful to deal with. In purchasing our new Bennington Pontoon Boat they were very informative and helped lead me to the perfect boat for my needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Bought a new boat from them in 2015 and was very happy with the boat but VERY dissatisfied with the service department. Over the years that I have owned the boat, I have found it impossible to get someone to call me back or follow up on a request. After getting fed up with the service desk I called and left a message with the service manager who seemed a little annoyed with me when he called back. He listened to what I had to say and promised a call back and follow up....that was in September and I have not heard a peep. This is not an isolated incident either. We spent $42K on a boat from these folks and every time I call they give the impression that they are too busy to handle my request or that they are doing me a favor. In 2016 I had gotten some new seat backs (under warranty) and a live well cover because the ones on the boat did not match the rest of the boat, they replaced 1 seat back and the live well cover and they looked great, but I have yet to see the last seat back cover and its going on 3 years now and several calls. I wish Robalo would let me change my dealership but they won't, maybe if I complained enough to them I could get some help. I also had some bubbles in the gel on a few small areas of the center console that should be a warranty item but they would not submit to Robalo. Wish I could give less than a 1 star.

This is a small, but sad story… I previously purchased a 2 HP Honda motor from Richardson's Boat Yard . Also, I have had my other Honda marine motor serviced exclusively at this facility. This summer, I brought the 2 HP in for an oil change and regular maintenance (I paid about $142 for this service). A few weeks later, (the motor was never put to use; it had only been stored in the garage), I noticed that there was oil leaking from the engine onto my garage floor. I brought back the 2HP to Richardson's Boat Yard hoping that it would be covered under warranty. Nope. The employee (Matt) was unable to help and told me that there was a serious problem and that the cost to repair the motor exceeded the value of the motor. And this is the best part of my experience… An older fellow (who did not even introduce himself), put my 2 HP Honda OUTSIDE of the door and said (pointing to the motor) “your motor is outside”. This was said rudely to me and I took this as a way of saying ‘get out of my business’. This is a perfect example of bad service and rude behavior from a business to the customer. I’m not sure if this was done because of my accent (I am a naturalized U.S. citizen), but either way, I left very offended. In short, I experienced zero loyalty - even though I purchased this product from this dealer. No service warranty: I asked three times and never received any document or explanation.I experienced terrible, terrible, rude and xenophobic behavior from this business.I have lived in Maine for 30 years and have NEVER experienced anything like this from any business ever.

This is our second purchase from Richardson’s in less than a year and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. The entire Richardson’s team, especially Tim Huntington are professional, honest, and true product experts. I highly recommend Tim and team for any of your boating needs.

I’ve had an outstanding experience with Richardson’s Boat Yard. Their service has always exceeded my expectations. So glad I just bought my Lund boat with them. They go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. I had their service department put on a trolling motor before I picked it up. Extremely knowledgeable, great work, and finished ahead of schedule. Rick took me out on the boat to make sure I knew everything about it when I picked it up. Can’t say enough great things about them!

Consumer beware . Bought New boat in end of July, 2016, and was happy with boat. However first time I took out boat this season the engine stopped running. i went to Richardsons with boat and asked to speak to mechanic .They would not let me . They advised they would write up work order for mechanic to look at engine. I advised anything not under warranty i could do myself. We discussed that I had added to much oil while on the lake. Knowing before they did any repairs they would have to pull and clean plugs which were not covered under warranty, that would necessitate them to call me before they did any un-warrantied work . We never received a call. Again they had been told anything not covered under warranty I could myself . My wife called 5 days later and was told boat work was completed . When I went to pick up boat was surprised by outrageous bill which amounted to 10% of the price i paid for the boat!! nothing had been covered under warranty . I had to call engine warranty company who told me they had been contacting Richardson's but we're not getting answers that they had asked for. The company was nice enough to pay for the actual problem that had caused the boat to stop running under their customer relations program...But according to richardson s this only took about 30% off my bill. They did not wish to discuss the bill as I pointed out that they were not to do any work not covered under warranty. I could do that work myself. In the end I paid approximately $700.00 for an oil change, New spark plugs, and fuel disposal of brand new fuel bought just prior to bringing boat in .
