Butterfield Acres Petting Farm
Fun for little kiddos. Lots of animals to see. My girls loved petting the little bunnies and sheeps . Farm is spread out so you never feel like you're constantly bumping into someone. Lots of different spots to have a picnic/lunch. Also, my girls loved the train ride. Will come back again!

Great place to visit. I went with just my girlfriend and we had a lovely time petting all the newly born goats and sheep. Very nice place and a great quick afternoon activity.Only gave it 4/5 due to the price. $38 for 2 people was quite a lot in my opinion.

A fun place to have the young kids interact with the new baby animals. There were baby pigs born four hours before we got there. The lambs were super cuddly with the little ones. They really need an upgrade especially in the food available. You could only purchase drinks cookies and do it yourself S'mores or hot dogs on the campfire.

This is a great petting farm, there's a large variety of farm animals, some toy and playground type items, and the staff is really friendly. If your kids are young I recommend old clothing & rubber boots as they'll be in with the animals.

We were here on a very hot and sunny weekday, and there were no crowds which was nice. The animal enclosures are all accessible and hand washing stations are provided. The sheep were entertaining (so loud!) and the playground was good fun after a day of animal entertainment. The farm has little shade in the main area at the front, so be sure to bring a large sunhat and sunscreen. Gravel also requires shoes rather than sandals. Refreshments are sold at the ticket area upon entry, but the signage is small and not very conspicuous. We went on the tractor ride and it was fun as the entire property can be viewed through the wooded areas. The wagon has a large step up, and there are no seats, so be prepared to sit cross legged. There are no signs throughout the farm regarding tractor rides and scheduled times - we walked back to the ticket area at the front to inquire. More riders would be available should these times be more prominently displayed.

Pre-purchased special tickets for the Barnyard baby days and went with my fiancé and 13 month old. Brought our baby jogger because we knew it would be uneven ground and it was a good choice. This was our first time and for the price, I expected a bit more value. It was great seeing baby animals and my son did enjoy it the most he could at that age. My biggest issue was that during our almost 2 hour visit a big semi was parked right in the middle of the farm. And of course it was parked there for over half an hour in front of the washrooms being extremely loud and disturbing the experience. I literally had to raise my voice/yell to my husband because it was so noisy. I couldn’t even breastfeed my son in the nursing room because it was scaring him and that alone ruined my visit. I could tell other families were bothered by the noise as well, so I searched for a staff member. After some searching, I found someone and they said the previous day been busy and the septic tanks were full and chuckled about it. I asked why this couldn’t be done before the farm opened, and they kind of just shrugged and chuckled once more. I walked away and we continued walking around because we already paid $55 for the visit and wanted to give it a chance.Come to realize we also didn’t enjoy the music being played. It was a mix of what we could describe as old, sad, depressing country music. I actually love country music a lot, but their choice of music was weird and it didn’t seem to make the visit any better. I would have loved to hear som upbeat music to help energize the experience. It just felt like the music was out of place, and also quite loud as well which also didn’t help the atmosphere. They don’t have any type of real food options either. They had things like pop, simple hotdogs, and s’mores so make sure you bring your own snacks/food/beverages if you plan to stay long. This really wasn’t the best first time experience and I would have rather gone to the zoo and used my money there; because the value is better there. I’m sure this is a good place for toddlers and older children since there is lots of room to roam and learn. Tractor ride was okay too. Animals looked happy and well cared for at least.

20/10 recommend for a child’s birthday party! We threw my son a farm animal themed 2nd birthday and Butterfield Acres elevated our event beyond our expectations. Every single guest enjoyed seeing and engaging with the animals, especially all the little ones! My 2 year old had the time of his life - he was the first one in the pen with the baby animals and the last one out. We created so many beautiful memories and would be happy to call Butterfield Acres times and time again. The service is wonderful, everyone is super friendly. The farmer that brought the animals to our house was really nice and shared lots of interesting information about the animals. She didn’t need any help with anything at all and loaded and unloaded everything she needed all by herself. The initial process was also very easy and seamless to book. 100% recommend to anyone interested for a child’s birthday party.
