Wayside House Of Hamilton

The focus of this review is on Publicly Funded Residential Treatment Centers, not Private Treatment Centers...Ideally people should be able to go to a Publicly Funded facility with a comfortable level of confidence and trust in the service provider and staff as it relates to the process. In Program clients have a responsibility to acknowledge why they're there and to behave accordingly. This logic also applies for any employee who is onsite, on the clock, on-site, or any situation where the relationship would be applicable. It is counterproductive in either position when outside opinions & issues affect abilities to focus on either role and the primary objective of same.Approach it with an open mind and be reasonable about your expectations of yourself and others. Where we are responsible we should hold ourselves accountable. This is fundamental to the foundation that we will depend on. As we grow, develop, and evolve, so does character. Knowing the things we value most and acting accordingly is known as being true to oneself. Be honest, build integrity, and credibility, for the greater good.This review is a blanketed and applies to all publicly funded residential treatment centers in Ontario. This is not Wayside specific.

I heard so much about wayside and I am extremely lucky that I got excepted they have changed my life if it was not for the people and councilors I know for a fact I would not be here today so I wanted to take the time from the bottom of my heart and my kids heart thank you so much

Amazing organization. They are doing the work nobody wants to do. And I believe they are doing it the best. If you know someone in need I would recommed you give them a call.

Tried to become admitted to this place because of my injection abuse of opioids. They rejected me saying Your situation isn't dire enough

Wayside house is amazing and so are the staff, they helped me with my addiction and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for help.

Everybody was supportive and awesome from top to bottom, staff & us, got nothing but love for all of you! I'm bad at good-byes so gimme a break with that plz, I was sad but I had to go. Wish the best to all ya Boyz!

I recently celebrated my 22nd birthday with my brothers from wayside house of Hamilton. If it wasn't for the treatment I received from the staff at wayside and the continued support that I have from them and my brothers I made there I don't know if i would have made it to 22 so thank you wayside house of hamilton for everything you've done and continue to do for myself and the community

Thanks to Wayside, I'm now in my 3rd year of sobriety. The program and counsellors were outstanding, but what really made a difference for me was the continuing care. For those critical first months after I graduated the program, I had ongoing support and access to counselling services. Even to this day I choose to remain connected to the house through annual events and a community of fellow sober alumni, who are some of the most generous and supportive people I've ever met.If you're considering an inpatient treatment program, I can't recommend this place enough!

Because of Wayside, my nephew is a new person. Wayside was not just a place to get sober, they gave him friendships that have lasted years, connections to help turn him from a boy to a man. Through the process Wayside has never left him, they provided a home, job opportunity, cooking skills and so much more.I highly recommend Wayside to any family or person who is seeking help for themselves or a loved one.
