We did a 2 hour tour with our guides Luca and Cathrine. We absolutely loved it. The guides were very skilled and respectful of both the nature and us. We saw seals that swam past us and a sea lion. The guides were very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

amazing experience! the kayaking was beautiful and tailored to our level of experience, and the campsites were absolutely incredible. Also definitely the best meals I've ever had camping (pizza, cookies, salmon...) - 100% would recommend!! Having the tents already set up and being able to relax on a hammock once you get to the campsite is pretty special

Spending the day on a sea kayak in telegraph cove has been a dream of mine for some time. North Island kayak made that dream come true! My friend and I had the best day drip! Our guide was so amazing and so knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see tons of wildlife and stunning weather! Couldn’t recommend this company enough. Will definitely be back for a multi day trip!

Such an incredible experience with an amazing crew. Did the 3 day kayaking trip and just had a great time.Physically it wasn’t bad at all. Food was so good, they really outdo themselves in this aspect. Scenery was stunning. The guides were super knowledgeable and a joy to be around.Highly recommend this trip to anyone and will be taking family here when they come to Canada.

We went for the half day kayak and it was great! Our guide Luca was fantastic, he had a great attitude, he shared lots of knowledge and was happy to answer any questions! It was a beautiful experience to be on the water enjoying the nature and getting to see all the intertidal creatures! We saw lots of beautiful sea stars, sea urchins and even a couple of curious seals! Thanks again!

Just back from a perfect 4 day trip with our amazing guides Vince and Thuom. From the first meeting everything was friendly, fun and professional. High quality, new equipment - everything from the kayaks and paddling jackets to tents and oh so comfy thermorests at base camp. Base camps are well equipped, we were thrilled to arrive at each one. Oh and the food - delicious - with a lot of care to make it fresh and interesting even packed in a kayak hatch! We had a variety of weather and paddling conditions, our guides made sure we were properly equipped for conditions each day and safety was always number one priority. Their knowledge of local water conditions, as well as local wildlife and history was amazing. And yes, we got to see 3 humpbacks, a mom and calf plus another one getting up close and personal off our sterns in Blackfish Sound, a truly once in a lifetime experience. Dolphins, porpoise, bald eagles in abundance, sea lions, seals, sea stars, urchins. But mostly the guides made our whole, very diverse group feel welcome, safe and comfortable and that we all had a fantastic time. Can't wait for my next trip!!

We did a half day tour of the Bausa peninsula and Johnstone strait with Brett, our guide. It was a phenomenal day and we saw eagles, a sea otter and multiple dahl’s porpoises on our journey. Even if you are an experienced paddler, don’t hesitate to go with a guide so you can learn more about the marine life and history of the area.

Great! If you are reading this review wanting to know if kayaking with North Island Kayak is a good idea, let me tell you that it is a great idea. Me and my girlfriend went along for the day trip, which left from Telegraph Cove. The price is very reasonable considering you get a knowledgeable guide and you are not just renting the equipment. The tour itself left around 10:30am after doing safety briefings and getting all the equipment needed organised, we were back out of the water around 4:30pm. We went out with Alicia who is the best guide in the world" as far as we were concerned. She was very friendly
