Hair and Makeup by Melissa Anne

Melissa did my hair and makeup for my wedding in April, as well as the hair for my mom, sister and grandmother, and my mom’s makeup. I did a hair trial and was having trouble narrowing down exactly what I wanted. Melissa made a point of checking in after and I requested a few changes. She then took the time (I had no idea she was going to do this!) to trial the style on her hair model and after more feedback, adjusted it again slightly to ensure she was understanding exactly what I wanted. I was shocked and touched at how much she cared to make sure I was satisfied. On my wedding day, I absolutely loved my hair and it was exactly what I had been envisioning but having trouble articulating. We just got our photos today and I am so happy with the look of my hair and makeup. All three other ladies looked fabulous and were very happy as well. I have been to Melissa for a haircut before and after the wedding now also and she is always so caring and sweet and has a beautiful home salon that is a nice change from most other salons. I hired Melissa to do all the girls' hair for my wedding and the makeup for two of my bridesmaids. She did not disappoint. She brought a helper so that she could focus on hair. Her helper was fantastic. I wanted to cry because my sister in law looked so beautiful. She was incredibly patient with all the girls and me. I was so happy with everything. Couldn't have asked anymore of her.

Melissa is amazing at what she does. She is very talented, and my go-to hairdresser. Melissa has great vision, in what you are looking for in a hair style/hair-cut, even with a colour change. She makes you feel comfortable and always give you a great end result. Highly recommended!

Where to even begin! I had an absolutely amazing experience with Melissa on my wedding day! I remember she was pregnant at that time, had a big baby bump already but never heard from her complain about having a sore feet while doing my makeup. She’s very professional, very timid and an excellent listener. I know next to nothing about makeup, so I was very nervous about this part of my big day and had very limited ideas on what I thought would be right for me. She gave me suggestion and helped me achieved the look I wanted. Good thing I trusted her, I’ve got a lot of compliments from the guests about my hair and make up! I feel so pretty that day, my make up lasted for hours! I highly recommend her services! Thank you, Melissa !

Melissa was very friendly, warm and welcoming. She did a great job and really followed the look that I described wanting for my wedding. I don't wear a lot of makeup and I wanted to look natural, Melissa accomplished that task while still making me feel and look beautiful for my wedding day. I had a large wedding party and she was very accommodating, bringing along extra team members and arriving early to make sure there was enough time for everyone. I would definitely recommend Melissa for hair and makeup.

Melissa is the best! Every time I see her, I leave so happy with my hair cut and style, and filled with joy from being in her presence. She is a talented professional, and great at listening and encouraging. She is also filled with integrity about her career. I have never written a bad review for any company and this is the first time I have felt inclined to, since I was so disappointed with the service and treatment I received from this business.Both myself and my mother had our makeup hair done for my wedding in June. The makeup artist that did our makeup did a fantastic job and our makeup turned out great. Unfortunately I can not say the same for our hair that Melissa had done for us. To start off, Melissa showed up about 30 to 45 minutes late for the agreed upon time because the mother of the bride of the wedding getting done before us showed up 45 minutes late. When Melissa showed up to our home you could tell she was flustered and rushing. Our hair styling services should have taken 45 minutes each to complete. Melissa rushed through both our hair styling services in 1 hour for both of us! My hair at the end of the service looked noticeably different from the trial I did with her just 2 weeks prior, but since she arrived so late there was no time to adjust or fix my hair to my liking as I was now rushing and running late to my own wedding! Melissa made both me and my mom not only feel rushed and panicked just before my wedding, she made us feel not valued and that our needs weren't important at all. And since my hair styling was so rushed, my hair didn't even hold up for the entirety of my wedding. The front pieces of my hair had completely lost its curly and bobby pins could be seen sticking out from my hair in my pictures! I spent a good amount of money for Melissa's services and even did a trial with her. Myself and my mother should not have been made to feel the way we did on such an important day.Save yourself the trouble and find another company or hair salon to work with for you wedding.

After shopping around for a new hair dresser for 2 years, finally finding Melissa was a wonderful end to a long journey! She treats/cuts my tick curls very well! Always happy with the results, great prices. I always feel like a million bucks when she's done! Very friendly and welcoming! I would highly recommend her!
