Horrible service. Don't even bother pressing the button for the nurses to come, because they won't show up. The place is old and very underequipped. I'm shocked that they're even allowed to operate. I would never send anyone I love to this place.

My Mom was admitted to the hospice wing because she is at end stage of life and this is the first time she's had pain. She started moaning and saying help me. Ringed for the nurse. She said she would be right back. Nope. 5 min, 10 min, 15 mins to by all with Mom moaning in the worst way from the pain. I go out to the hall find the nurse who is now busying herself with shift change. I again ask for pain meds for Mom. She brushes me off. This one star rating is for this nurse only.

We were transferred to Bruyère’s Palliative care floor from a local hospital. The care was night and day. The nurses and doctors took their time to speak with me daily (often several times a day) about my father’s needs and care. Although my dad wasn’t responsive, they spoke to him with so much love. One nurse called him “mon cœur”. They would ensure that he was always cleaned and lotioned. They did his mouth care regularly which was really important. We had a private room (the norm) which meant that my dad was able to rest as if he were in his own home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that family members were taken care of and comfortable. They offered me warm blankets from the warmer when I needed a rest. Volunteers came by daily (2:30 pm) to offer family members coffee and/or ice cream. When a patient on the floor passes away, the staff and all visitors take a moment of silence to pay their respect. My dad was treated with great dignity and respect from the entire medical team. The chaplain was also a great support to me. I wish our health care system was built on a model of care like this. To all the staff on the 5th floor, my family and I are forever grateful for the amazing care that you gave my father.

Do not go here. The staff is beyond mean. The doctor was dismissive on multiple occasions. The palliative patients are treated very poorly. I will never return here and I suggest you keep your elderly loved ones far away! I am pursuing legal action.

I’ve been attending the Photoderm clinic every morning since April, with another 2ish weeks to go. I also had to do a chest x-ray yesterday at the medical imaging room on the 1st floor & also met with one of your Dermatologists back in April.ALL the staff have been absolutely AMAZING!! Extremely professional, efficient, empathetic, and knowledgeable, and just nice people. I just wanted to leave this review to let you all know how grateful & thankful I am for everyone & all that you do. ❤️~David K.

Nurses, doctors are amazing. We did felt attack by the floor manager. She seems on our entire family's back. My sisters kids that comes from very far away felt that she was picking on them. Even myself, she's my baby sister. My sister wanted to die at home with her family, she was afraid, she made us promise to not let her alone. Now non of us feel like we should be there. Her son came from Alberta to be at her side, and he feels attack by that lady. We are stress, tired, caring, but anxiety when the manager come. Donation that was suppose to be done on behalf of my sister will go somewhere else.

My mother was there for therapy following a broken leg. She was treated so poorly. The Dr's don't listen, they are just interested in getting patients in and out. Heartless place, don't take your loved ones there. I'm a retired RN and could not believe this horrible experience.

Very rude and disrespectful staff here. When you ask them a question they often have attitude. The service is also very slow. The building and equipment badly needs to be upgraded. The doctors here are very nonchalant, and it takes forever to see one. My aunt was here for palliative care and she had a terrible experience. This is so disrespectful to those suffering from terminal illnesses.

My mother was brought to elisabeth bruyere with end of life COPD. The staff was wonderful. They were caring and understanding and took care of my mom. I couldn't ask for better. Every single staff member was kind and compassionate. The doctors cared and spoke with us daily. Even under staff they still went above and beyond. I would send my family member there before any other hospital. My mother was well taken care of and treated with respect. Thankyou all staff for your hard work.
