15 years later and a new owner and still hitting it out of the ball park! Handy exit on and off the highway. Welcoming staff, spotlessly clean and amazing food served quick and with a smile. The buffalo burger was done to perfection and the steeped green tea was the best I’ve had in awhile. Keep up the good work! And read the last picture I posted that is on the door as you exit, this is what a reviewer is all about take the time to compliment as well as take the courtesy to critique in person!

I really enjoyed the food here, I usually stop here for lunch or dinner when I'm traveling through from BC to Edmonton. I enjoy the cozy feel the place gives off. My current stop here was good, soup is good as always and I quite enjoyed the pizza they offer. There was a longer wait this stop to get my food, but as explained by the waitress a bunch of orders flooded the kitchen at once so I'm not upset about waiting for my food. Other stops have been great though. I look forward to my next stop here.

Wonderful place overall. Great gift shop with Manitoba Mukluks in store. Awesome restaurant, the food tastes great and is very reasonably priced. The staff is amazing, very friendly and personable. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Stopped here on our way through. The trading post store seemed nice with nice gift and art to purchase. The restaurant located at the back of the building was very dated. I reviewed other reviews stating a “rustic” vide. I can’t say I go that but it was definitely not modern nor does it look like any investment in years. Service was not great but was friendly. The water is most likely from an on-site well which does give a different smell and off putting for sure. Meals are “homemade” style. We ordered a variety from salads to entrees. The “fresh grilled” salad was definitely frozen then thawed chicken very dry and not fresh. Fried where very oily. I love home town restaurants but this one need some attention and a bit more love. I’d say if your stopping go ahead but I wouldn’t make it the must stop for the food.

They serve their own bacon & eggs from local farms, THE BEST breakfast I ever had, this is my second time coming here! The trading Post side has interesting items for sale as well. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great food and service. 5 of us had a beautiful experience. Real fries!! Good gravy and melt in my mouth roast beef. Homey atmosphere. We loved it and the store had the unique character and charm of Northern Alberta.
