Student and Staff Dental Clinic | Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences - McGill University | Services we offer Meet our team Contact Services we offer Diagnostic Services – complete exams, emergency exams, X-rays Oral and Maxillofacial Imaging - click CBCT scan requisition form Preventative Services - check-ups and cleanings, brushing and flossing Restoratives Services - fillings – white (composite) or silver (amalgam) Fixed Prosthetics - crowns, bridges and implants Periodontics - gum disease, recession, etc. Oral Surgery – tooth extraction (including wisdom teeth) Removable Guards - nightguards and sportsguards Bleaching Treatment - teeth whitening (at home treatment) Referrals to specialists For students we can work closely with your dental office back home to make sure you get the care you need. If you haven't had time for cleanings when returning home, or if you had dental work that couldn't be completed before school started, we can assist your regular dentist and help you right here on campus. McGill Student and Staff Dental Clinic
I just had my wisdom teeth freshly removed and I was extremely stressed. But Dr El-Onsi and Chantal his assistant were just amazing. Chantal was very kind and present during the whole procedure. And Dr El-Onsi took the time to explain me everything in détail and answering my questions. Having said that I just want to add that the réception as well was very sweet and I would highly recommend the McGill dental clinic.

The people here are absolutely lovely with one exception- the receptionist. The first time I visited the clinic she was shockingly rude and aggressive. The second time I visited she was just disdainful and seemed annoyed by any time she had to waste acknowledging my presence. Just to put the cherry on top, when I left the clinic I had to sit in the waiting area for her to finish tasks on her computer until I could finally set up a follow up appointment and walk out the door. My principal job for the past few years has been as a receptionist and I would never make a client wait to leave, especially when setting up an appointment takes less time than whatever she made me wait for. She said she would send me a confirmation text and email a document of mine (all of which she could have done while I was at the desk) but she did neither. Now I have to interact with her again and waste more of my time and patience.Other than her the staff are extremely friendly and efficient, and the place has a nice atmosphere- 5 out of 5 stars. On McGill insurance the prices aren't bad at all. I paid $44 for a consult about getting my wisdom teeth taken out where I got an xray done. Wait times can vary. I got my general check up scheduled a week out, but I heard another guy in the waiting area have to accept an appointment (no doubt specialized) for 3 months out.

Amazing experience! I had Jessica as my dental hygienist and she was so lovely. She was very thorough but also took the time to make you feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

Do not go to this clinic. A had a root canal treatment, that wasn’t done well. Luckily I managed to fix the error at another clinic. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I had a great experience here. My dental hygienist was warm, kind and non-judgemental. She answered all of my questions and shared a lot of knowledge about everyday dental hygiene that was new to me. The dentist who did my wisdom-tooth extraction was personable, knowledgeable, and did a great job.

My hygenist called in sick, and they only tried calling twice 20 minutes before the appointment, when I am already on my way to the appointment.I would suggest sending out an e-mail/text whatever when you have someone call in sick, so you don't waste my time. Also if you are going to try to call, have us add it in the contacts as a recognized number or else it will go straight to voicemail as most people do not pick up calls from random numbers.

The first time I went there for a simple checkup, the assistant was really clumsy and made my mouth all bloody. Second time, they did x-rays even before checking my teeth thoroughly. And you get the feeling that they're constantly looking for ways to charge you more for services/ products. They offered to do flossing demonstration, then charged you for that. Problem wasn't fixed in the end.

I, just like many others am not a fan of going to the dentist but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised today when I had my cleaning done. The hygienist Jessica, was so friendly made me feel super comfortable and explained everything to me which rarely happens when I have been to see other dentists. Dr. Myers was also friendly, and informative.

I was extremely stressed going to the clinic to have a tooth removed. I got to admit this was by far my most pleasant ever experience in a dental office. Dr El-Onsi and all of the stuff I interacted with were extremely patient and understanding. They answered all my questions and alleviated my anxiety. I will definitely go back and sign up the rest of my family.

I have to say. I have never been treated so rudely by a receptionist in my life. This blond woman made me feel so small!! I asked a few questions and she gave the insinuations that I am nobody and i was there because I am a welfare case. I am not. I am unemployed since my company went bankrupt, and I cannot afford my dentist for myself and children. It's hard enough my situation being a single mother, but to be treated this way when all I am doing is trying to take care of my children who I will put first, and if there is space I will go last. Lady have some compassion... I know Mcgill is union and you will always be safe, I wish I had that. If I had your position I would at least pretend to care.If you go there beware to be treated like a second class citizen. Why are you so mean???
