H&R Block

This is my second year returning to H&R block to file my taxes. The same as last year, it was fast and efficient. However, it is worth noting that my tax expert, Helene Nowlan, gave exemplary service and was beyond personable and charming. Turned doing taxes into an experience that put a smile on my face! Always joking, while making sure I understood everything along the way. She was a pleasure to work with. The company is lucky to have an employee as special as Helene!

Great experience from booking online to getting my taxes done. Francine was amazing and saved me quiet the headache when it came to my taxes. She is very knowledgeable, helpful, and will make sure you have everything you need to make the most out of your returns. She is also a joy to converse with!

Called over the course of a month to get info on my taxes. Never received a call back or answer. Went in today to see if my taxes were even started and was told no because I had not signed or paid (which I would of know if they would of picked up OR returned my calls). Missing two pages from my documents dropped off and rude service. 10/10 would NEVER recommend.

My Senior Tax Professional was very knowledgeable and patient when explaining services offered by H&R Block. She did a wonderful job of answering all of my questions to the best of her abilities. It was my first time getting my taxes done by H&R Block and I would return to the same location in the future.

I called in with some questions, and spoke with Sharron, one of the representatives at this H&R bloc. She was so kind, and really took the time to listen and to help me sort things out, with recommendations on how to proceed with my inquiry. Sometimes talking over the phone can feel cold and impersonal, but it felt quite the opposite with Sharron (Thank you!)

My husband and I have been going there for years. We have always had a good experience. Actually a great experience. From the time we walked in until the time we left we met Pleasant lovely people who knew what they were doing and we walked out completely satisfied. We are in our 60s and there have been changes during our years for example Canada pension old age security and how all that works. We could always ask the questions and get the answers and we got great advice and great service. We recommend H&R Block to all of our friends and family.

They charged me $200 dollars to do my taxes. They didn't tell me it would cost that much beforehand, only near the end of the session. Their tax specialist made it sound like I was paying the money to the government. It wasn't. I could've went somewhere and got it done for $75, maybe less. I'm on disability.... My taxes were not complicated. I regret going there and will never go there again.

This H & R Block office required nearly $275 for business return. Then they did not file my information to RC. I did not find out about it until 4 months later when my CTC was cut off. A worker from that office tried to blame it on me until I told her I had proof I gave her my updated information. Then she admitted that my file got put in a box and not added into the computer/ filed to RC. She actually had the nerve to laugh as she told me my file had been collecting dust in a corner for 4 months. Her response was laughter, when I told her that my toddler had no food or diapers because I did not receive my CTC.I spoke with the manager Tina, and she offered me a full refund for my return not being filed. She took the time to look into my file and explain the other problems that RC should be currently taking responsibility for.
