Lowertown Pool

New lockers and a warm pool for family swim time. This is a basic pool. The shallow end is around 3 feet. There is a stair-style entry as well as pool ladders to get in and out. The deep end has a small diving board and rope swing. There is a dry sauna accessed from the pool deck. Many sizes of lifejackets for the novice swimmers and toddler/preschool set. Lifeguards and swimming instructors are young folks. We enjoy our time at the pool.

I only go there to make use of their washroom. However the staff are friendly and the Male washroom is always very clean when I enter.

You can't ask for more to swim gently with the most friendly and attentive staff. The sauna is an asset and the customers are always very sociable and courteous.

Great place to go to unstress and relax, even when seriously swimming and/or exercising. Friendly staff, clean facilities.

Great staff, lots of parking. The pool is nice and deep although it is a little dark in there being in the basement and with no windows. Overall a great place to go swimming, no complaints here.

Maybe the worst lifeguards I’ve ever encountered, indoors and outdoors — a few lifeguards are exempt from this. Some indoor pool lifeguards have no clue about pool etiquette. I was once told to swim no more than 50m at a time and I had to stop at the wall, in the fast lane — not kidding. When it comes to the outdoor pool staff, I brought my daughter there when she was 1 year old and she couldn’t even walk on her own and one lifeguard felt the need to tell my wife and I that we couldn’t leave our daughter in the pool alone as we were right by her side, getting her into 1 foot deep water. Hope your patronizing takes you far in life.

We had a really good time at the pool it was very affordable. My son doesn't like water much but he got very comfortable with all of the amenities they have there for kids to use for free, they have floaties and noodles and they have life jackets and a diving board and plenty of lifeguards so overall very good for kids..

Great overall facility that doesn't show its age at all. The pool is modern and well built, and the interior features updates that has helped keep it fresh and exciting. It's also centrally located in the community.

Clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Lifeguards for our children's swimming lessons are hit and miss, it's their second session and the staff are better this time. Unfortunately they are short staffed as of Fall 2022, so our first week of lessons got cancelled by the city. But they found some and it started in the second week! Locker rooms have tons of space and are very clean, with nice modern lockers (wood/metal combo, not old style thin steel only) and lots of changeroom space. Probably about 24 parking spots, so we've always found one and there are usually plenty. For very young children, some parents comment the water is a little bit colder than they'd like, but I don't mind it as an adult. Great lessons, if you make it through the insanity of registering your kid(s) online and get into a session!

My daughter is currently doing swimming lessons at this facility. For the most part it's fantastic but I have to give it 4 stars for not having a family change room. My daughter is over 6 so she is not able to go in the mens change room and therefore it makes it next to impossible for my husband to take her to these lessons. We love the instructors and the facility is very well kept and clean.
