Nanton Veterinary Clinic

We have happily used Nanton Vet Clinic for years for our small animals and had our performance horses in once over the years, but opted for another equine vet due to specific needs. We had an emergency at home with one of our horses - I phoned our regular equine vet and did not get an answer, so immediately called Nanton Vet- It was 3:30pm, I was put on the phone with Dr. deGraaf immediately and I gave a very brief but highly hysterical description of what we were dealing with and the address. We are 20 mins from the clinic in Nanton, Dr. deGraaf was here in 30 minutes from the time I called. He was caring, compassionate, professional, and honest about a difficult prognosis. He agreed that it was possible and he was willing to wait and help keep the horse comfortable and calm for a little time until our daughter was off the bus so that she could have the difficult choice of whether she would want to say her good-byes and be with him when he went. When she arrived home, he met her with compassion and empathy, he carefully explained everything that was happening and was detailed while somehow remaining gentle, calm and in control. The next day we stopped into the clinic to clear up our bill and we were in complete shock - one thing is for sure, we definitely didn't pay enough for the care, knowledge & expertise, travel, and quick service that we received. Dr. deGraaf and his team made this heartbreaking and traumatizing experience much easier than it could have been and for that I am forever grateful. I would recommend Dr. deGraaf to anyone! Thank you, Dr. deGraaf for taking such care while we said a hard goodbye to our beloved friend.

Choosing a veterinary clinic is always an intricate process of balancing so many variables. The team at Nanton is nothing short of amazing! They are all extremely caring, and accommodating. I’ve noticed them all to be passionate in their role, and they work effectively together. Also, veterinary care is expensive. Nanton provides realistic prices and are very fair.I have nothing bad to say about Nanton Vet Clinic. Do not hesitate to take your pets to them!

Doctor Caitlin and Doctor Mike and the staff at the clinic were very professional, accommodating and easy to get a hold of. Used their services for horse pre purchase exams.

Highly recommend this vet!! I have worked at boarding kennels and with the occasional rescue. And this is the vet I choose to take my animals to for 2 reasons applicable to all. The second reason more so than the first. First reason, they are consistently reasonable with their prices and have been for years. Secondly, they are hands down the most consistent with their care. They're there to do what they can within reason to ensure the animals brought to them are cared for, to the best of their ability while considering you're financial situation. These are the main reasons why I have continued to give them my business to them for more than a decade. In my opinion they set the operation standard for which I base all other vets. Thank you Ladies and gentlemen, I tip my hat to you all.

These guys and gals are my go-to people for anything! The prices are extremely fair, the reminder system works well and I am always greeted with kind words. Jenn has been amazing and is always looking out for what’s best for Tanner (my Lab). This place is well worth the drive!

Our experience here was exceptional. Services provided was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. We brought our horse in to be gelded and they took real good care of him and the cost wasn't through the roof, very reasonable prices. I got a few quotes on him from different clinics and it was ridiculous. We highly recommend using then and we will be returning here with a couple more sometime in the future.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Dr. Wesley, Dr. DeGraaf, and the wonderful staff at Nanton Vet Clinic. I called them in a frantic state 20 minutes before they closed with a medical emergency. They agreed to take us in without hesitation and were so kind and supportive.
