Couldn't find a pair of cross country ski boots ANYWHERE! But Matt at Highland Bike Shop had the perfect pair for me!! New custom length poles and ski repairs and happy trails for me! So much for big box stores. Two thumbs up for small family business with great service!!

The Highland Bike Shop is the heart of Antigonish's cycling community. Not only a bike shop but the place where group rides, races, and tours are organized.Service at the HBS is awesome. Matt (owner) is a skilled bike-mechanic who can get you back on the road/trail in no-time.

Went in to buy a bike for my 8 yo for Xmas. Brought with me my son’s measurements to insure a proper fit. Also brought in the make and model of the last bike he owned. The owner sold me a new bike, ostensibly based on the information given. Well. The bike was too small and the owner refused to refund the purchase price while ignoring phone calls and messages for over a week. His excuse?“You listened to my advice and you were wrong to do so.”The Op shop got a new bike, another bike shop got a new bike sale and my advice is avoid this shop like the ‘Rona. Neither one is good for you. Btb. If I could leave zero-star review i would still consider it higher praise than this business or owner deserve.

Besides being the only bike shop in the area, this is an awesome store. Matt was great. I was touring the East Coast and was worried about my back wheel. In spite of being quite bussy, he took the time to look at my wheel. He is an independant shop and does a great job. He is very supportive of touring cyclists and when he found out where I was going, he gave me his card and told me if I ran into any problems he could arrange to get me back to the shop in an emergency.Great small shop, great owner, great service.Highly recommended.

Excellent customer's service. Friendly and welcoming environment. The owner of The Highland Bike shop is always working so efficiently and conscientiously to give his customers what they need. If you are in Antigonish and need bike advice, need a place to get your skates sharpened , are looking for snow shoes ect... this is the place to go!

This is not your average bike shop. More than just a store, HBS is kind of like a community centre for local folks who want to get in the saddle. Matt (the owner) is very passionate about his work and the shop has become an important hub for outdoor adventure across Northeastern Nova Scotia. The annual Triple Mountain Crown is quickly becoming the not-to-be-missed NS fall gravel ride, attracting all kinds of cyclists (young, old, fast, slow, etc...) from all over the province. Oh, and they also sell bikes and do repairs...

Small family owned bike shop in Antigonish,Nova Scotia. Friendly staff and great service. Dealing in Specialized and Norco Bikes as well as Camelbak and Eno products as well as kids scooters and various biking accessories and the only store in Antigonish that sells high quality snowshoes seasonally. Matt will go out of his way to get the gear you need in a reasonable time period. The Highland Bike Shop is community oriented and hosts bike demos at Keppoch Mountain during event days as well as 2 weekly group rides after hours.

The team at the Highland Bike Shop helped me get into the sport of road biking a few years ago. One of the biggest factors for me in continuing with it was having the right advice and the right gear to be successful at it. Staff is very knowledgeable and approachable and can very quickly suit you with the right gear and parts at an affordable price. They also make time to answer any questions you have about various aspects of the sport or gear. A1 customer service and they stand behind what they sell!
