Amanda's House of Elegance

My 7 yo daughter wanted to purchase 2 hair clips for 15$, as it was written on the display, she gave the cashier 20$ out of her pocket money, and came back with 2$ change. We started to chat about taxes and why she didn't get back her 5$ change as she expected it. Looking at the receipt we realized she was charged 15.95$, I sent her to the cashier to figure out why the price is different from the one presented on the display. The cashier told her that's what the owner wrote, this is not the actual price and sent her back. Only when my wife got involved and came with my daughter, the cashier found a way to charge the custom" and the correct price. You should be fair

This store has an amazing style even for me that I am not sure about mine, I did a quiz and they helped me with all the process of selecting products

Came here not too long ago with a couple friends. The sales person there whom I now know to be the owner seemed to be rather haughty and wasn’t very friendly. She seemed annoyed that we were trying out a few pieces of the jewelry. It wasn’t until she realized that we meant to buy the jewelry that her attitude did a 180. It was actually quite comical. This was rather off-putting and is a strange business practice :)Update - Response to Owner:Just because the reviews are negative does not mean this is a spam account - please don’t negate people’s less-than-stellar experiences at your business.Interesting that the owner’s response is also deflecting and not actually addressing the concerns raised - indeed, sanitizing the jewelry was not one of them (which was the only element the owner provided a protracted explanation for). Instead, the service and attitude of the sales person was the main concern, which seemed to have been ignored. :)

Charming and Elegant !! If you’re also a home decor stuff lover like me then this store is a must visit. Situated right in downtown Kingston, the store offers everything home decor ranging from candles to throws to art pieces, crystal ornaments etc. They also keep jewelry. I loved the collection of pillows and throws. I bought a Christmas guy, he’s super cute and it was on discount so costed me around $6. The lady who helped me at the store was also really generous

I always like to visit Amanda’s shop when I need a unique gift or a new design piece for my house. I love the jewelry as well. She is so knowledgeable and hand picks her pieces that show case the artists she chooses. Price points are very reasonable. Keep in mind you are supporting local when shopping at stores like this. Can’t wait to slide by again soon for new Christmas ornaments and gifts. Keep up the great work Amanda. In my opinion these 1-star reviews are fake, so pay no attention to them.

I love this store. It's so beautiful when you walk in and the staff are very helpful. It's such a refreshing experience to find something unique - but downtown Kingston is great for nice stores & Amanda's is just one that makes it worth while to wander the city core. Well done!

Amanda's House of Elegance is a beautiful store right in the heart of downtown Kingston. I was highly impressed with the quality of the merchandise within this store. All items in the store are clearly high end, designer products that anyone would be thrilled to own. I recently purchased a beautiful new throw from Spain that was a lovely edition to my living room decor. I also purchased new feather down throw pillows to spruce up my living space for Christmas. Overall I was amazed by the variety and quality within the store and also by the friendliness and expertise of Amanda as soon as I walked into her store. I will definitely be returning regularly to see new merchandise.

A Let Down.I was so excited to find this decor shop in downtown Kingston, as I prefer to shop locally instead of at big box stores. I found a great faux fiddle leaf tree and tried it out in the space I was looking to fill in my bedroom. After trying it here and several other locations I decided I wanted to return it. I called several times last week to try and make sure I would be able to return it, as this tree is about 6' tall and is very difficult to transport. I finally left a voicemail on their machine on Sunday. They got back to me on Monday saying I would need the receipt and in 15 days of purchasing. At the time I couldn't find the receipt, but went searching and found it. My boyfriend took the first part of the morning off work to help me transport it, as we both work until 6:00pm (when the store closes). When I brought it in the sale person said we also needed an additional receipt that had some 25 digit code on it. She showed us an example of one at the cash, which was stapled to the credit receipt. My receipt had no staple marks in it, and we inquired as to why mine may have not been stapled as well- also why I was not told about this particular receipt I needed. Mine says Amanda's House of Elegance" on it and shows the price of the item. I don't think it was fair to turn us away.I must say

A trip to downtown Kingston would not be complete without a visit to Amanda’s House of Elegance! Not only does the storefront beautify the neighbourhood, but once you step inside, you know you are somewhere special! The spectacular selection of beautiful, quality items, and the super friendly, welcoming staff make it an absolutely delightful experience. I have purchased lovely items for my home multiple times, and have never been disappointed in the quality. Amanda’s House of Elegance will always be a regular destination for myself when seeking home decor and beautiful gifts!

One of my favorite stores to visit. It has everything I love under one roof. This is my go to store when I need a gift for my mom who has elegant taste. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! This store has something everyone would enjoy.The lady who works here adds the perfect touch to my visits. She's so friendly and helpful. It's always a welcoming experience visiting this store.
