Wow! After reading these reviews I’m not sure if we even ate at the same restaurant. We went to the Riverview to celebrate a birthday dinner and it was so utterly disappointing. We ordered three different appetizers including the chicken dumplings which turned out to be fishy flavored meatballs in a chewy wonton cup. I ordered the sturgeon special. Based on the appearance and texture of the meat, I’m sure they microwaved it from frozen and slapped it in a hot grill to burn the top. My husbands fish and chips were beer battered white fish pieces from the freezer accompanied by overcooked fries. Seriously how do you screw up fries?!? The Szechuan chicken was spongy and flavorless except for “spicy”. I usually try to have grace especially during these times where it’s hard to get and keep good staff but this wasn’t an issue of undertrained staff. It was poor quality food marketed as fine dining. The whole meal was a big fail, we will never return to this place.

The greater Gresham area is not known for fine dining. We mostly have mid to low priced chains for our eateries. My daughter surprised me with a gift certificate for my wife and I for diner.To my surprise, this was a hidden jewel right under our nose.They have 2 menus. A set dining menu of 4 courses, which is what we chose, or a normal menu.The wait staff was very friendly. They allowed us to chose indoor or outdoor dining. We selected indoor next to a wonderful fireplace that my wife really enjoyed.We split our selections to different items from the set menu, which allowed us to try 8 different items. I choose the brisket, which was a good as I have eaten anywhere. and my wife chose the spinach ravioli. Food was tasty and hot. All courses were served on time. I cannot say I had one compliant. It was plenty of food, and the price was reasonable for a fine dining restaurant.

We have a lovely diner. The staff was amazing very attentive and friendly. The patio overlooks the river and made for nice ambiance. We shared a bottle of wine which was great. Some of the best calamari that I have had, very good. The brisket was melt in your mouth and my ribeye was perfectly cooked. We will be back for sure!

Needed just a nice relaxing evening out with my wife along with the chance to explore a restaurant that has survived Covid. Top notch!! Everything we had was well presented and very tasty. We were a bit surprised that there were so few in the place. Evidently Tuesday evenings are a good time if you are trying to avoid many people.We will definitely return and bring friends.

The food was very good and the portions were good-sized. I left feeling quite full. I liked everything I ordered. The server was kind and patient. We had to wait quite some time for our food (an especially long time for our dessert) but I think that's part of the whole idea . . . we ordered a four course meal and each course was wonderful and yummy. Especially the dessert.The views on the outdoor deck were great. You could see a river and the whole place was tucked away amongst tall firs. Outdoors there's a beautiful garden you can walk through with wisteria, a gazebo, etc. Check out the pictures. This is a nice romantic restaurant. My wife and I had a wonderful time!The only reason for four stars? The exorbitant wait for our dessert.

The food was absolutely amazing! The servers were really nice, and we could get a table even tho we didn't have a reservation (I do recommend reserving beforehand). The view was good and just the overall astetic was great!

Riverview Restaurant
We went this evening to enjoy the outdoor bar area/happy hour. One of our favorite places ever on the Sandy River. It was like pulling teeth to get information from the host about sitting outside in the bar area for happy hour. Bar has moved, no longer any happy hour. Their choice, but the host was rude and uppity. Won't be going there for dinner. Too bad.

Loved this restaurant. Had the four course meal and every bit of it was AMAZING! Service was exceptional (Thank you Craig and Takashi)... Will be going back. Soon.
