Avis Car Rental

These people are just crooks plain and simple..I had 2 bad experiences with them and that is more than enough for me...I will never use their service again.. Nor will I ever refer a friend...

I didn’t actually get to interact with someone because the store never actually opened. I understand that life happens but from reading the reviews for this location it seems to be a recurring issue.I had made a reservation to pick up my car at 9am this morning. I show up at 9:10 and the doors are locked and no one is inside. I wait till 10am and still no one shows so I leave because I don’t know when someone will decide to show up to their job and it’s -20 outside. At 10:45 I call the store from home to see if anyone has shown up yet and there’s no answer. Assuming that there still is no one at the location i decided to modify my reservation and pick up my vehicle somewhere else . If I did not need to be somewhere with that car today I would have just cancelled my booking altogether and gone somewhere else. But unlike the employee at this Avis location I actually do have to show up for work tomorrow.Extremely unprofessional

I have rented many cars at Avis on Newman and the service was always A1. The fast and professional service keeps me coming back to that company. I trust this shop better than the competitors, such as Enterprise and Discount, because they take the time to give you the best clean car you can get for your money!

Worst customer experience I‘ve ever received. Please avoid at all cost. The front desk agent and “owner” was arrogant, rude, and disrespectful. The perfect example of a terribly run franchise. Shame on you Avis. Furthermore, your telephone number to issue the complain leads to a general reservation number...

Think twice before you rent from Avis on that location ,never again, My friend came from the states to visit we rent a car everything was super perfect tell I received a paper from a collection company saying there’s a fee because the car was empty of gas, this is four month after the rental and after we return the car and after the employee check the car and the gas , three days we didn’t sleep worry simply we could be blocked crossing the border if a collection agency claim our credit card, after that we find out that three days after closing the contract and returning the car that Avis location tried to pass the credit card claiming the money but the card transaction did not go true, they didn’t even bother calling however after calling and not sleeping for three days the Avis rep , she told me this is normal it could happen I ask her it is normal to try to pass credit card after the contract close we return the car and the employee checked the gas and the car, that’s crazy , I don’t want to talk to much because the scary part is a fraud on the credit card happen with over $2500.00I’m not pointing finger at all to anyone I will leave that to the investigator, an investigation started and a case was opened , that’s to scary I will never ever use any of Avis location again,The investigation is on , three days of horror , how is possible you try to pass a card after three or four days from returning the car checking the car and closing the contract without even bother to contact us, the credit card bank open an investigation and I think Avis head office will do the same because that story is a each person horror in life

They have pretty high end cars to choose from but also a good economic selection, the best part about this place was the service, Rob and his Team, Marco too, really went above and beyond to please me and make sure I had a great rental experience! Will definitely use their services again

Avoid this place. I reserved a car and when I showed up the place is closed when they're supposed to be open. Waited a long time for nothing. Went somewhere else instead. Never going back there again.

I have been waiting for 2:30h at Lasalle, QC branch and no car is available. First the store was closed at the reservation pickup time, then I was informed no car was available and I had to wait.This is beyond disrespectful!!!What happens in case I get over 2.5 hours late in my return?
