The easiest way to install a new kitchen floor is as part of a complete kitchen renovation. Everything is demolished, and a new floor is installed first. However, we didn’t go the easy route, renovating most of the kitchen two years ago before deciding we needed a new floor this year. We chose CityEdgePoint Construction after meeting with and receiving quotes from at least seven different companies/ contractors and their representatives. Our final list was garnered from Homestars after we created a “project bid” and received four offers of interest. We chose CityEdgePoint based on the positive impression we received after interviewing company owner/project manager Aaron Samwaru. We were impressed when he told us that he would wrap all cabinets (and the light fixtures) in plastic to minimize dust. A few days later (before we signed any contract), he said if we went with him he would pick up the vinyl floor tiles and not charge us for this service.On the first day, he and his team, Alvin, arrived about 20 minutes ahead of schedule, which impressed us. At the end of every day, they not only cleaned up the kitchen area, leaving it spotless but swept up the dust and debris in the garage where they had been working. He then let us know his start time for the following day.On both the second and third days of the project, both Aaron and Alvin arrived on schedule and worked well into the early evening, stopping only for a lunch break. It was evident listening to the two men that they have a great rapport, which is essential for any team project. The fourth day, the two men completed the project at mid-day and did an amazing clean-up in both the house and garage.Prior to the start of the project a key issue was dealing with a potential gap between the new floor and cabinet kickboards, as we were removing two old floors and installing a new one. While other contractors offered to create workarounds, Aaron solved the problem (and eliminated any gap) by raising the new floor to the level of the old one. As well, we suggested the replacement of existing quarter-rounds with baseboards, which he installed and painted. What is so great is that it enhances the look of the kitchen and it was not even on our radar at the start of the project.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------I had hoped to have him back in 2022 to paint. He came and discussed our project. However, he basically ghosted" me afterwards

Aaron and his team are reliable, honest and always do a great job. I have hired him for more than one project and I'm more than happy with the results he's provided. He's renovated my bathroom, repaired water damage to my basement, re-paved my outdoor patio, painted a house top to bottom and is currently in the process of redoing my kitchen. Very happy, and you will be too.

Aaron, Alvin and team helped us with our basement reno. The job involved new drywall, adding a closet, new lighting, painting, etc. We were very impressed with how thorough, meticulous and professional they were. At the end of each day throughout the project, they cleaned the job site to ensure dust didn't travel to the rest of the house. We are happy to have found this company to help us with our projects!

This will be my fourth time hiring City Edge Point for their services. Their work is impeccable. This time around we hired City Edge Point to completely re-do our master bathroom including building a new walk in shower with a mosaic tiled floor and a floating bench, relocating the toilet, re-drywalling, tiling, all electrical work and paint. It is a pleasure working with Aaron, who pays close attention to detail, takes a great sense of pride in his workmanship and in the end the results are phenomenal. I will note that sometimes things take longer to complete than originally planned, but there is always a justifiable reason and in the end the final product is worth the wait (which is why we keep coming back). City Edge Point is honest with you and will work through your design to make sure you are getting the best final product. I would highly recommend their services. I do know at times they do seem a little more expensive than other contractors, but the workmanship and service is worth the extra cost. We definitely will be calling on them again for any future renovation projects.

We recently had the first floor of our home renovated, including a whole new kitchen, new tile and subfloor throughout the main entry way, hardwood floors and stairs re-stained, new carpet in our upstairs hallway, all new baseboard, and a fresh coat of paint for the entire main floor. It was a large undertaking, but I could not be happier with not only the final outcome but how the entire process was planned and executed. Aaron from City Edgepoint was great to work with. From the early stages of planning, he was extremely detailed and made sure all of our requirements were captured. When the scope of work was finalized, he immediately began making the necessary arrangements to get things started. As he progressed through his work, he always made sure we were aware of what was going on and what the next steps were going to be. During the renovation he would regularly call us after we got home from work, or wait until we got home from work to provide us an update on where things were. He also did everything he could to make the process convenient for us, as we were still living in our home for part of the renovation. When we came home from work, the house was always very clean and tidy. They also did everything they good to minimize the amount of dust the travelled to other areas of the house, which was greatly appreciated. The entire renovation took 4 weeks, which we were thrilled with - we did not think it would be complete that quickly. Aaron and his crew took every opportunity to complete things faster, but still maintain a high quality of work. This meant working on weekends, or late into the evening. As with any renovation, there were surprises, but Aaron and his crew were flexible and adaptable. Overall, none of these surprises impacted the overall timelines, and in all cases, they were able to provide a solution. There were times where they even did things completely outside of the scope of work. When doing the demolition of our kitchen, they realized we did not have the proper water shut-off valve in our home, so they installed one for us, free of charge. When laying the new subfloor, they realized the floor joists needed strengthening, and since they were accessible in our unfinished basement, they added more beams to ensure minimal deflection once the new tile was installed. On another day, they had to turn off our hot water tank, and when they went to turn it on, it would not start. They actually called the rental company for us and dealt with it as much as they could, before getting us involved. They went above and beyond on several occasions, which was completely unexpected. We could not be happier with the end result. Our home has been completely transformed with this renovation. Aaron and his team have a very strong pride in their work, and it shows in the finished product. We have future projects we will need done for our home, and will definitely go back to City Edgepoint to do them. It was a great experience - you will not be disappointed!

I did hire cityedgepoint to renovate my living room. The job got done as promised, Aaron and his coworker Michael did excellent work for our living room , he did smoothed the popcorn ceiling, placed pot lights and painted the whole room .I will definitely hire them again for my next project .Thanks AaronRamy

We recently had the children's bathroom completely renovated and 2 bedrooms and hallway painted. Aaron was great from the beginning up to the end. The estimate was quick and work started and finished on time. They kept the house very clean, covered all vents and kept dust to the minimum. Aaron kept us updated on regular basis of what is happening. When the work was complete everything was cleaned all materials put away. I would definitely recommend this company to other people and I will definitely be working with Aaron in the future for my other projects.

Aaron and Stefan did an amazing job of installing LVL beams and all necessary supports in place of a load-bearing wall. From Aaron's initial assessment it was clear that he was very knowledgeable and diligent. He took his time inspecting my house and making sure that he took everything into consideration. What he recommended ended up being exactly what the engineer recommended. Aaron and Stefan also explained every aspect of what they were doing and why and I greatly appreciated this. They always ensured that they cleaned everything up at the end of each day and they were very polite and friendly. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. We would recommend them highly.
