Alderson Elementary

This school has very high EMF radiation. It’s not safe for students and school staffs in the school. There is a cellphone tower on top of a green building near the school.

The previous principal was dismissive and dishonest. My child has a disability and the principal lied to our doctor about his behavior. The current principal is approachable and sincere. The staff also appears to have genuine concern for his well being and is working with us to get the best results for everyone. Had I written this review more than 5 months ago it would have been VERY different.

Let me start by saying if I could give zero stars I would. The problem with the school starts from the principle.The principle calls the city parking enforcement to hand out parking tickets because the parents drop off their kids Ina no parking zone. It got so bad that one time there were 2 parking enforcement officers and they were hiding and waiting to hand it tickets.The principle is the one who calls the parking enforcement officers and not understanding that for some parents cannot afford a 25 dollar parking ticket.I moves my daughter up the hill to Lord Baden Elementary and it is 1000x better than Alderson Elementary.

I attended this school back in 2003-2006. Thank god I left becuz this schools a nightmare and a scheme. Firstly, there's monthly bake sales that uses students to make bakeries for free, and the school sells them without giving the students any money they make. Which mean the school takes all the profit. Secondly, there's the buffet, in which the school uses the students' parents to make food for the school, and the students r not allowed to go for seconds or even have desserts. Thirdly, Ms Casper, the librarian has got to be the worst librarian ever. She accused me to losing a book which I didn't lose and make me pay $20 for it. She once didn't let me take out a book because there was one word in the magazine I couldn't pronounce correctly. Ugh! Also, there has been issues of bullying which the school does not take seriously. I'd love my $20 back Alderson, and what ever extra money they made from the bake sale they owe me.Ps: I can't believe Ms.Casper is still working there.

Stressful. I had two of my children attend here for 2 years. I absolutely hate it. The judgemental vibe. The fact that my daughter's teacher was late every day dismissing the kids. Bad enough that all parents have to wait outside the school for pick up including during cold winters. I was late for work on more than one occasion. How can you expect kids to be on time if the teachers can't. I didn't like that their performances and concerts were all during work hours so often times I'd miss out. The biggest and most upsetting part was when I had to hear My daughter had been wandering during school hours by herself. Just because she couldn't keep up with her class during gym running around the school The teacher had not noticed. Her teacher didn't bother to tell me the day it happened I had to hear it during her teacher parent conference. She put the blame on my daughter instead of taking a countability. I do not recommended this school.

You guys don't do anything when 8t comes to these kids safety I get suspended for hitting a kid with a book but kids bring guns to school and ur not doing anything

Okay so I only went to this school for Kindergarten and Grade 1, so I have no idea what has happened here, but I loved it a lot, I really want to know what my old bestfriends look like :)

Amazing school, Absolutely amazing. Definitely a little school with a big heart. Had both my children attend and both children loved it. It's a wonderful school for any child.

BEWARE! Two (2) major cell towers in direct view of the school grounds. Other schools just outside of the catchment don't have any towers nearby.
