Update: I've been getting my skates sharpened and picking up new gear from Scoffs for 6 years now and I love those dudes. Really nice, friendly, knowledgeable. Is it your average Sportchek with cheap garbage products? No, only the best and really solid deals on last year's skates if you can find them!This is literally the only place I trust to sharpen my skates here.First Review:Being new to the lower mainland, I hadn't heard of Scoff's, but I needed to find a solid local shop and someone who knows skates. Scoff's not only set me up with some awesome skates at a good price, I also picked up a couple sticks from last year's stock on the cheap. Awesome guys, great young men working the skate sharpener. Really stoked whenever I get a chance to go in for a sharpen. They even heat molded my new boots :)

Excellent service at Scoff's! Josh took care of a long-term problem I have had with my skates immediately and efficiently. He was interested and attentive and also helped me choose skate guards for my grandson. Great store. I will definitely be back, I very highly recommend.

Wouldn't go here for sharpening goalie skates. Way too inconsistent. Maybe it's the 3mm and 4mm blades that confuse them. I went there for 4 sharpens in a row, and literally 2 out of 4 times, they didn't sharpen at the correct hollow.The first time they messed up, I brought it back and they were combative in owning up to the mess up, blaming me that I might have stepped on a rock or something. (Obviously not the case, I can run my fingers down the edge and feel one side is completely sharper than the other, the blades weren't chipped).They reluctantly re-sharpened it again for free, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to cooperate. It just made the whole situation very awkward and uncomfortable as I stood there for 5 mins waiting for the tech to re-sharpen the skates after a somewhat heated discussion.I brought my skates in again recently because I believe in second chances, and once again, the the hollow was completely off. This time, I'm not going back for another awkward situation. Even though this shop is only 5 mins from me, I have decided I'm done and never going back.

Scoff's is a store with knowledgeable staff and amazing customer service! I came here to ask them for help with fixing a hockey helmet that I accidentally dismantled; I took off the screws and could not put the helmet back together. They helped me fix it and also fitted my helmet!They also have a great selection of gear, this is a definite must visit shop for all your hockey needs!

I buy all my skates here and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Often mid-range pairs will be less than MSRP (which I've confirmed by googling SportChek and other hockey stores to compare) and finding Scoffs the cheapest usually by $50-$60The staff is really knowledgeable. It seems to be busier on weekends so if you need skates or something that requires attention I would recommend going on a weekday.

Scoffs Hockey Shop is a true pro shop. Staff is extremely knowledgeable regardingall the equipment they sell. This is the place to buy skates, profiling, sharpening. Scoffs has been in for many years. I have purchased all my skates from them for decades. I always like to support the smaller businesses over the big retail chains. Scoffs level of service is outstanding.
