Matt's Burger Lab Etobicoke

It's an amazing burger place in the neighborhood. I have tried their double beef smash burger and spicy chicken cheese burger, and they were both juicy and tasty. Dine is small but very clean, and the service is quick. Highly recommend it

Decent spot to grab take-out deep in Etobicoke. I wouldn't entirely recommend going in to dine as it's a small place tucked away in a tiny strip mall, so atmosphere isn't much to write home about but again, great for take away.I found the smash burgers to be really good. Gave me a homemade type vibe, which is positive. It's a quality burger that fulfills all the expectations - no more no less. Prices were decent as well. I also appreciated the variety of options on the menu. Lots to choose from. When I'm in the area, I'd make my way to Matt's Burger Lab again.

This place had fantastic food and it delivered very quickly. We saw a couple reviews on Google about this burger joint and figured it was time to try it!I quit enjoyed the smash burger style they use to make these burgers. The meat tastes delicious and the toppings are all great choices on everything.We have yet to try the fries but the onion rings and fried macaroni were excellent sides. They had a fantastic promo deal where if you order over $25 they send you free onion rings and boy were they really good.I hope this place does well because the food is worth it. Best of luck Matt !

Amazing smash burgers! Extremely flavourful and cooked to perfection. I took advantage of the one day special $5 bacon cheeseburger deal which was a great move. Didn’t expect the burger to be so delicious but pleasantly surprised! A definite must try.

Was glad to find that Matt’s Burger Lab has extended to other areas in Toronto. Located in a plaza close to West Mall. There is limited seating available. They had some great deals for pick up and in store (buy 1/get 1).Tried the Bacon Smash Burger! I enjoyed it with exception to the chewy bacon bits. The texture was not enjoyable so i ended up removing most of it from the burger. They have sauces on the table, some of that hot sauce in the burger made a difference. The burger wasn’t dry.Tried the Sweet potato poutine. I think I’ll stick to regular from now on. The soft sweet potato fries mixed with gravy turned into one big mush quickly. The flavour individually was great, I personally just didn’t enjoy it as a poutine.The chicken burger was delicious!The staff was friendly, the food was prepared in a timely manner.Overall, enjoyed my meal

Saw that a bunch of new restaurants opened around me so I have committed to trying them. First up was Matt's Burger Lab.Can't really speak to Atmosphere and Service as I was in and out in 10 seconds since I ordered through Ritual, but it's a nice little Burger joint with tables inside should you want to dine in.The poutine is your average fast food poutine. The fries soaked up that gravy but had a nice potatoey taste to it. The gravy is basic, wouldn't be surprised if it was just from a packet that you add water too, but ultimately has no depth of flavour and is bland. The cheese curds or cubbed mozzarella is not squeaky or had that bite that you want when getting a poutine. Poutine gets a 6/10. I wouldn't get it again but if I really wanted a poutine in the area, and that Mill street McD's busy, I'd consider this place.The Burger is just alright. The Brioche bun is nice and soft, the bacon had some chew to it. The carmalized onions are pilled on there and is honestly the only thing you really taste. The Burger patty needs seasoning, it also didn't have that maillard reaction, that crispy pressed exterior. The Burger was juicy, in terms of freshly grilled, but I wouldn't choose it over other smashed burgers in the GTA.Overall this place gets a 6/10. If I want something that's a step above a BK or McD's I'll get it. But it doesn't hang with like Five Guys or Smash Burger.

Ordered a single cheese smash burger, classic poutine/pop, and onion rings for takeout. As a whole, I’d actually rate my takeout experience 3.75 stars. 5 stars for freshness, quality and effort. BUT only 3 stars for flavor: burger patty was made well but the sauce and cheese were bland - also there were no additional fresh topping options (lettuce, tomatoes, fresh onions) to provide some texture to the overall soft/creamy burger. Poutine fries were made fresh but gravy was runny and the poutine cheese curds were a bit on the creamier side (versus squeaky) - of course better than most drive-thru options but should be, for this price. I will need to try one of their double signature smash burgers with more toppings but they get even pricier (ie. Bacon, grilled pineapple or egg) for a second chance but the single patty w/cheese didn’t cut it for me.

I just finished my CHEESE SMASH and I could definitely go for another one. Its very different from the typical chain burgers you eat- Not dry or weak in sauce. The melty cheese was so juicy and flavorful that you don’t need any ketchup or salt. I need to come again to try their other burgers, fries and shake

Deliciously satisfying spot for a late night burger with perfect fresh cut fries. The burgers had a great crispy crust, were seasoned well and I also appreciated how well dressed the burger was (with all the toppings in every bite!Lots of cold drink options, really great service and overall amazing burger experience.
